I am about to start some mounted characters for my CD army. The beasts will have the same size like the current Taurus and Lammasu - so it would be obvious using the metal taurus wings for both.
But there is two problems doing that:
1) Only have one spare set
2) And biggest problem is, that the wing joint (wings to beast body) is too big for my Lammasu idea - so I will need another pair of wings - with a smaller joint.
And 3) I want - as always - varity
So I’m looking for a wing substitute - aprox same size as the current Taurus’ - which mean 7-9cm long - but with a very small/smaller wing joint. The wing have to be of the ‘bat-looking’ type - no feathers please
First, that comes to mind is Winged Nightmare wings - anyone who could give me the measures for these?
But please, give me your other recommendations - and if you can, please give excat measures. And there will be slaves for close up pictures with measurement references (like this one:D)

Plastic dragon wings? Can even be bitz ordered from GW. Or the LotR equivalent which should also be available.

From the elven dragon? - I can tell you - they a way to big - and so are the old plastic wings (and they are not stretch out) - it's just for a bull sized beast - not anything as big as a dragon.
No it has to be from those middle sized Monsters - I think.
And just for the record, you can also bitz order Nightmare wings, zombie dragon wings and a loy more.

I was thinking about the "old" plastic dragon wings, the new HE ones aren't available AFAIK. Unfortunately I do not have the measures. I'm not in contact with my wings ATM.
And I think your are thinking about this backwards. The wings aren't too big, the bull is too small :)
I don't think the dragon wings are that large... oh well.

Nightmare wings could fit as well, the monster is about the size of the Taurus I'd imagine.
I would think that the old manticore from GW with a undead necromancer is just about right. Havnt got a picture, but its in the rulebooks from 5 th ed with the lizard vs brets.
This is it with a little greenstuff (see below) allthough theres no clean wing shot, if you beg my pardon.

Balrog wings are way to big for my ‘Lammasu’ - i yil have to cut an additional 3-5cm off - but I might look into this for my Taurus ‘conversion’ - which will be slightly bigger. So the original Balrog wing is just about 13 cm in total?

How about the bloodthirster wings ? - they are of similar size in terms of length although they have a greater area - I can measure mine of you want me to
Sophia is a great sculptor indeed! I have metal wings I bought in a little shop in Praag and they look very similar, hence I thought they might have been the same…
I want - as always - varity
- I need wings that are aprox 8cm - giving the beast a wing span about 15-17cm
