Basically I’ve managed to put paint on my first “Chaos” Dwarf.
Some of you might remember the model from when I was debating shoulder pads and paint scheme. As usual I sorta split the difference and went with both options I liked
There’s something weird with the colours so they aren’t quite accurate, I’ll have to see if I can get natural light tomorrow.
In the end it turned out to be impossible to avoid the purple “thing” I’ve got going, but it won’t be a major colour. I just needed a regal looking colour for the cloak, I also experimented with blending wet. Paint dries way too quickly here for it to work satisfactory so it’s a bit rough. There’s several “front” shots as I couldn’t get the colour quite right in the editor he is standing on a white paper :o. I had a really good program that came with the camera that fixed it exactly right but I can’t find it anymore.

EDIT: updated 2 pics to a brighter format. The other angles turned even darker, same set up, same light, Go figure.
Snowblizz that looks really nice. He looks tough like a Chaos Dwarf should, with just the right attitude of "yeah, when you’re big enough to fight real battles I’ll challenge you"

Yes, he actually can. I made sure of it, I even had pics somewhere but they were blurry and I seem to have deleted them. That's one reason why he has a rock to stand on :) (found the pics, thank Hashut I'm not tidy even on PB )
@all Thanks for the positive feedback. I guess I feel a bit better going toward a possible more models painted. Don't hold your breaths though. Got some DoC to finish, and I haven't undercoated the rest of the potential "Chaos" Dwarfs or Dawi Uzkul as I usually say. When it gets a bit warmer outside... And I got the gangGREEN with a recent purchase of Orcs.

This guy + horns from a daemon he has heroically vanquished and then bound into service (actually 40k CSM Tzeentch icon) and 2 marauder axes and shoulder pads, spikes from another manufaturer.
