I’ve recently heard from a reliable source at GW that the Chaos Dwarfs are going to make a comeback. Unfourtunatly it won’t be a new army book but they will have a unit or two in the next Hordes of Chaos army book.Discuss!
He wouldn’t say anymore on this subject so either he doesn’t know any specifics or hes decided to play things close to his chest.

Another rumour is that there will be a Chaos Dwarf unit as well or instead. It may be a Regiment of Renown though.

i dunno itz not the end of the world… so long as the list includes CD characters to do the leading…
you pay a lot for a M4 mortal general that you can not really take advantage of…

Ya, I am not sure what to make of this rumour. I’ll be ok with being a bit more merged into Chaos, so long as we have enough distinct units to field a decent army.

Exactly!��A single Hero model would be a big step for GW!��Hopefully it could be a big step for us too. If it sold well enough then presumably somebody at GW might sit up and take notice that there are people out there actually wanting to buy Chaos Dwarfs.

I seriously don’t believe this romour, and I don’t think, nor hope to have a new book with models any time soon. A new book would be cool, if they didn’t nerf anything like 3pts hobgoblins, or 1 BT per choice or something.

Like Kyte, I am not overly rushed right now. We have confirmed legality for this whole year. So are fine for now.

A RoR lead by a Special Character would be awesome. It would be a start and i am sure it would sell well enough for chaos dwarfs to evolve into their own army and not part of Hordes of Chaos. Everyone i know that uses HoC doesnt like Chaos Dwarfs.

Everyone i know that uses HoC doesnt like Chaos Dwarfs.Well I play HoC and it's not so much that I don't like Chaos Dwarfs, it's just that their firepower wouldn't mesh well into the existing Chaos Army. At the moment HoC is more or less forced to advance and get stuck in (as it should be) whereas with CD firepower it would be possible to field a very competitive defensive Chaos Army, which doesn't feel right to me.

Except there might be strong restrictions for Hordes or Beasts to use war machines. For example, take two rare slots, and a unit of CDs must be taken.

if anything its overpriced if the hellcannon is any indcation…
just another army type…
CoS is just as shooty… perhap more so…
