[Archive] Music when modelling

Merchant:

Hi there

I was thinking - are there any special music you are listen to when working on your CDs or for that matter any of your figures?

For my part - I hear:

- HammerFall (Generally)

- Rammstein (favourite music band - but second when moddeling)

From time to time - it is just the TV, that is giving me some noice/music in the background.

What about you - let us all hear, what you hear

Cheers :cheers

Hrothgar Goldgreed:

Usually the CDs/DVDs I have.

That’d be:

Blue Man Group - Complex Rock Tour live

Blue Man Group - Audio

Daft Punk Alive 2007

I buy music that often, so those are the only ones accessable then

Narflung:

I used to listen to a lot of grunge when I painted, but these days the most I do is have the TV on. Don’t know why, but music distracts me too much.

furrie:

al kinds off music, just whatever is in my playlist, so its variats from epica to amon amarth

Kera foehunter:

when modelling i turn the tv on the 70 music channel play it threw the stereo .

eash back get a cup of coffie and then IT ON

Hammerhand:

Mood music mainly, I listen to jeff waynes - War of the worlds, the score from gladiator or LotR, or some real classic oldies (painted black by the stones, sultans of swing by the straits, hip to be square by huey lewis and the news!! that sort of thing), so I don’t have to think about listening to them!

Pyro Stick:

When im painting i just put my Zune on shuffle and stick it into some speakers. There is about 1500 songs on it at the moment but sometimes ill just listen to one album or shuffle one artist. I mainly put on Black/Melodic Death or Power Metal when painting.

@Hammerhand: I prefer The Agnoy Scene version of Paint it Black to any other.

torn:

rammstien is good for painting ill agree with you here i would usually choose live aus berlin but i had mutter on last night. It has a very steampunk feel to it sometimes, and they are truly fantastic (saw them live ust after they released riese riese woo)

the open door by evanescence has a very warhammer vampire counts theme i think. I listened to that through the whole of reading the Genevieve anthology and thats all i can think about when i hear it now.

Its not normally a big deal what music is on though, and sometimes i like to paint in silence so i can relax, and just let the time go by without any hint to how long ive been sat at the painting table

grom:

silence is best kind of music :>

Kera foehunter:

That’s 70 music. NO DISCO!!!

WarplockMonkey:

Usually when i work, i listen to talking books

The last one i had was The Da Vinci Code, and before that i had a good one called Contest by Matthew Rielly

Mental stimulation whilst you work, two birds one stone

bow_for_hashut:

When I work I listen only to Wulfgar (Wulfgar [official] (2nd album out NOW)) | Listen and Stream Free Music, Albums, New Releases, Photos, Videos)

Kera foehunter:

Warplock you have a talking book like what on harry potter ???

No wounder you can work magic with green stuff

- First of all to your Rammstein-feeling on music:
I'll normally never hear a live concert when moddeling, but when it come to those german-fellows - you'll never go wrong :)
I have seen them live to, and funny enough - it was also Reise Reise.

- Evanescence is not my kind of music, well a few good tracks have been released from them (but thats it! - every artist have been making a single ear-hanger, even though I having been able to find them all) But hey ;) maybe there is a vampire count feeling over them, I don't know... :)

- Music is a part of my life, and I personally enjoy it in most of my work and part-time - and for that matter my hobbies:) But there are also times where silence is the only "music" around me :)
When I work I listen only to Wulfgar (www.myspace.com/wulfgarse)

bandnerd1892:

nerd :stuck_out_tongue:

Vexxus:

These days I listen to Chaos Dwarfs Radio, as a surrogate to talking with Xander while I paint… (haha)

Grongi Blackbeard:

hammerfall, hammerfall, hammerfall (and sonata and dragonforce too^^)

i second that.

also when its silent and I’ve been sitting for a while, i kindof get in a flow state of mind, where I start thinking alot about everything else and when I’m done sculpting/painting that mini, i say to myself: wow thats really good. like i’ve never seen it before… xD lol

Vasquez:

Well since Merchant and I live together, I logically listen to Hammerfall and Rammstein too - love 'em!
But I also like listening to Apocalyptica… and Iron Maiden’s Brave New World while modelling and painting
