[Archive] Chaos Dwarf Bloodbowl Team

Thommy H:

Over in this Warseer project log.

We don’t see many Bloodbowl teams around here, but I think this guy’s work is definitely worth showing off:

[EDIT: Xander wants more,i]-Xander[/i]]

Steven:

Wow those are nice conversions!

Xander:

That hobgoblins looks like a BFSP/Flagellant conversion. Cool! Those Bull Centaurs are pretty killer too.

Great find!

Yeah, they are. There's loads more pictures and information in the Warseer thread I linked. I got the guy's permission to show it off here.

Xander:

Updated your post with more pics!

Pyro Stick:

I love the bull centaurs and the colour scheme is interesting. I do think he could of done more to make them look more like chaos dwarfs though.

Repone:

OMG I’m so jealous!

minty:

well, i know know hw to get the shoulderpads I want for my CDs

thos eocnversions are awesome, I’s starting BB soon so I’ll orbabaly copy

but i’ll have a minotaur, with a false beard:)

Obsidian:

That is so cool, very inspiring work! :hat off

Willmark:

that is kick a@@! I’m glad to more if a interest in Blood Bowl. Might be important for the webzine… Whatever could I be alluding too…,?

al-hashut:

Unique paint scheme, nice sculpting, could only be improved if he had GSed scale mail over that chain. Makes me want to paint the metal orc team in the attic that’s never seen a brush.

Geckilian:

Thanks for the good feedback everyone. I find it quite nifty that this site inspired me and then I was subsequently asked to join it. At any rate, I understand the comments about the lack of scale mail. I thought about adding it, but I was quite happy with the look of the chain mail, plus I chose a non-conventional look for the conversions considering the lack of tall hats.

As for the Minotaur with a false beard, that was also something I considered. As it’ll be the last thing I paint for the team, I certainly have a good chance to add a beard, so who knows eh?

My Warseer thread will eventually have other Blood Bowl teams and non-GW figures, but I’ll update here with the rest of the finished team once it’s done. Just an Assistant Coach, 2 Hobgoblins and a Minotaur to go.

Kera foehunter:

Kick ass those are the best b.b. figure ever!!!

Geckilian:

Cheers Kera, though that’s most likely some impressive exaggeration, heh.

I’ve just finished the second Hobgoblin, here:

That leaves just 2 Hobgoblins, the Minotaur and the Assistant Coach to finish now. Not too far left eh?

petesamd:

wow i love the hobgoblins! They are very unique.

Obsidian:

Those Hobgoblin conversions work so well! Can’t wait to see what you’ll come up with next!

Thane Godri GoblinSlayer:

That’s a nice team, although no big hats.

AGPO:

Really nice work!

Merchant:

:o Wow (and not warcraft :mad ) holy horse  You make me wanna play Blood Bowl again, now I have some insperation to make a blood bowl team

Kodos my friend - I’ll hope to see some more models some time, keep them coming

Cheers mate :cheers

Oh just one question friend:
- the shoulder-pats what are their from???

Geckilian:

Thanks once again everyone, it’s vaguely surprising to get so much positive feedback.

The plain shoulder pads are from Space Marines. I used clippers to cut down the curve, then did a lot of filing to get it smoother and rounded. After that I just filed down the pad in general on the two flat sides to get the rim thinner. In essence I just tried to get the shape to match the Warhammer Chaos Marauder shoulder pads, which are the pads with arrows, wider banding etc.
