This is my 1500 CD list that I intend to use against an all goblin army this thursday. I might use the hobgoblins in smaller units to run into the night goblins to release the fanatics
I think it is a nice looking list. I like the inclusion of the death rocket, the template will cause a lot of damage when it hits. not sure if you need both the warrior units to be 25 strong, I’ve found that 20 is generally sturdy enough. I would suggest splitting up the blunderbuss unit into 2 smaller ones, if you are fighting goblins then having St3 or 4 shots will still be very effective and with 2 units you will be able to hit more goblins per turn. As for the hobgoblins I would agree that running them in smaller units would be a good idea.
Edit: Do you know what lores you will be using with your sorcerers? I would suggest death on at least one of them, decent magic missiles for taking out fast cav, steal soul for goblin heros, and best of all doom and darkness to almost guarantee that one of his units will fail a Ld test.

Hi,
I've been thinking about using the lore of death for both of them. I'm going to use two units of 12 blunderbussmen 6 wide and 2 deep. These are the only blunderbuss models that I have.
In addition to this I could drop one unit of the CD warriors and replace them with a unit of hobgoblin wolf riders to intercept his fast cav and stick a powerstone on each of the sorcerers. What do you think??
I agree, split the blunderbusses, having the extra sorcerer is a good idea! Goblins are tricky, their magic is either really potent, or ineffective… take out any magic users he may have as soon as you can!
I managed to win the battle, the blunderbusses did very well as did the hobgoblins. At 2 points each they work very well as cannon fodder, at times my opponenet became fixated on them and spend turn after turn shooting into them and striking them with magic. Since my general was nearly providing a Leadership of 9 they were loving it.
:) If i could give any chaos dwarf player some advice it would be to use as MANY hobgoblins as possible. During the deployment phase you can place your hobgoblins on the board first and allow your oppoent to place down his elite troops, in a way it gives you a tactical advantage :idea
I love hobgoblins and I like to field 25 naked units like you. I find it the perfect number. If you manage try to use 10 hobgoblin archers, you’ll never believe your eyes when You’ll see what they manage to do!
