I’m new to Chaos Dwarfs and this will be a second tournament I’ll be using them in. I used a buddies CD’s a few months ago at a another tournament and decided I would start them as my second army and these are the models are currently own.

I was also wondering if it is viable running to lots of IG, I figured two big blocks of these would put a lot of pressure on my opponent while worrying about the K’daai coming in from the flank, forcing him to at least give me 1-2 flank charges within the span of the game!

And is the double Magma cannon recommended, in New Zealand, we see quite a few Ogre armies so I figured that, mixed in with Ash Storm and the 6 spell in Lore of Hashut would put a lot a hurt on those damn brutes.

I think this a pretty standard build, but not sure, I’ll leave up you guys to decide!

Any advice would be awesome!

Would it be better dropping a unit of IG and instead have a unit of 8 Bull Centuars with Shields/Mus, Champ and the banner of swiftness acting as a K’daai delivery system? and with the spare points adding in 10 more Hobgoblins?

or drop one IG unit for some Hobgob Heros on Wolf and some Wolf Riders maybe. You need some chaff.

I run a pretty similar list, Except I drop the IG to 29, and run some khans.

I love the list and how it plays against most armies.

I agree about the Khans. I’ve found:

Khan; Wolf, charmed shield, spear, potion of fool hardiness ~70points

Is awesome and never lets me down. Most games he’ll kill double or even triple his points.

Another common thing i see in a lot of lists is the over sight of adding small items to your characters. At the cost of just 1 infernal guard you can add the Ironcurse icon to a character, it will ALWAYS make up it’s points of the course of a tournament, and give your bsb the luckstone which is more than worth the 5 points. Similarly I see no magic banners on your units. Even if you’re planning on keeping them both within bsb range the extra insurance that the gleaming penant provides is well worth it.

What if I was to drop one unit to 28 (For the characters to go in) give them Banner of Swiftness and drop the other unit to 30 and give them the gleaming pennant. That would save me enough points to get 5 Goblin Wolf riders with Shields to help out the K’daai and I would have enough points to give me Foot gobbos some bows?

Or would it better to drop the foot Gobbos for another units of 5 wolf riders w/shields to give the K’daai I bit more help?

I think Khans are more reliable as they don't suffer from animosity when going solo so take 2 wolf khans instead of wolf raiders

K’daai-325

I know their aren’t any Khans or Wolf Riders, but the BC’s would act as the delivery men for the K’daai. The once the K’daai is in combat, just support it when needed really. I figured that two Daemonsmiths were in order due to having four warmachines. Should I make them both fire for double fireball if needed or one metal?
