Alright so this weekend me and a friend have been invited to a doubles tournament.
I’ve been thinking abot bringing the old CD out for a joyride and he is bringing full khorne deamons.
So here is my question:
Does this list look alright to you?
Sorcerer- Lvl2, Scroll- 125
Hobgob hero- Shield, Hvy Armor- 46
Warriors x17- Full Cmmd- 183 (ranks of 6)
Blunderbussers x20- 240
Hobgoblins x19- Cmmd, LA, Shield- 106
Hobgoblins x19- Cmmd, LA, Shield- 106
Hobgoblins x10- Bows- 50
Bolt Thrower x2- 60

While my partner is bringing something along these lines:
Herald- Juggernaut, AoK
Bloodletters x20- Full Cmmd

Flesh hounds x5
Our basic plan of attack is to have the Deamons move up the line with the Blunderbussers and the Warriors with the hobgoblins guarding the flanks.
The bolt throwers and the bowmen will stay behind and pepper the enemy lines, trying to eliminate or at least whittle down enemy threats.
The furies wil be there for a basic annoyance, MArch blocking, skirmisher sniping, and War machine hunting.
I do not expect people to take much magic (for some reason my group is anti-magic…) but i stuck the scroll in there just in case.
So, do you think that this list might be able to stand up in a friendly tournament setting?

The only thing I would change is stick in a Earth Shaker instead of one of those hobgoblin units.
Maybe 21 blunderbuss (wait that’s my normal setup of 7 wide 3 deep.)
I would also change the other armored Hobgob unit into 2 archer units. (I like shooting)
My version would be

17 Chaos Dwarf Warriors (Heavy Armor/Hand Weapon/Shield) Champion and Banner

Earth Shaker.
For me the Earth Shaker doesn’t kill much but slows down the opponents advancement and/or stops him from shooting. It helps me win more than other things in my army.

My only problem with th elist is that i’m going for a WSIWYG list and all i have is the conents to Skull pass plus an earthshaker from Xander.
I can try to scrounge up some more models to represent the extra blunderbussier and the sneaky gitz.
Just a question though,
Do the rule errata on skneaky gitz apply all the time now or only in GT’s?

The Sneaky Gits rule was for US GT’s, you should ask the tournament director about that. I never came to a point to worry about it because my guys either won big and broke the unit it was in combat with or lost big and got destroyed.
I personally think since they say lap around in the rules they should still be able to do so.

My Questions, why level 1 sorcerer? If you are playing against people who to low magic then the extra power die might be more useful than the scroll.
Depending on the people you go against you may never get a shot off with blunderbusses (In one tournament I played 3 games the 2 units didn’t fire a shot.) Some people avoid them like the plague. A unit with handweapon shield (3+ AS in combat) or Great Weapons (making them S5) could be more useful.

The scroll caddy will be taking a fire ball and satnding right next to my earthshaker.
I can see your point with the extra power die. I think i shall drop the scroll and pick up the level instead…
Well depending on the armies i’m facing i’m going to use the blunderbusses in a differentway.
Say i’m going against a skaven horde or skinks. I’ll deploy the blunderbusses in a long line to cover the board and have them advance in front of the rest of the army. But if i’m facing higher toughness or high armor i will form them into ranks to take advantage of the +S that they will get.

I’ve been setting my hobgob archers in front of the blunderbuss while advancing both of them, let the cheap slaves take the hits. When in position then I move the hobgobs out of the way and the 7 wide 3 deep S5 Blunderbuss lets loose.

100% agree, I think I care less about my hobos then the skaven and their fodder troops.

How many of the Hobgob units of 10 have bows?

They are just there for charge re-direction and such.
Although i suppose it would make more sense if th elist looked more like this:

i’m liking it too.
Not only becuase i actually have enough modles for it…well mostly that. 
But it seems like it is a good balance to the daemon army.
