I know there are more competitive list out there - Im thinking of the double Hellcannon lists etc, but I like to take things that I like really and this is really a chance for my to try out some things that will be in my 2.5K list.
The Blunderbusses will be 6 wide and will move forward - if there is nothing to shoot, they march if anything gets in the way, blown apart. I know fireglaives are better in combat but I prefer to keep the 3+ armour and parry for combat.
The Daemonsmith is babysitting the Magma Cannon, should the worst happen - she flies away!
Both the Castellan and the Khan are kitted out for dealing with a Kdaii - may pop up!
Really, I want your advice on tweaking this list and HOW to use it.
I have several thoughts but most important of all is that Blunderbuss units that don’t re-roll wounds are not worth their points. I would drop the level one in your list to bump up the unit to 24+. I would drop the relic sword from your khan and the dispell scroll from your level 3 and make him a level 4. If you want a mount try the lamasu, which provides you with the extra magic levels and access to shadow.
I like the bones of your list, it just needs some tweaking. Consider breaking your hobgoblin into 2 units so you can use all of their bows.
To sum up:
Bump up the blunderbuss unit
Boost to lvl 4
Those are the highlights in my view. Let us know how you do!
Thanx for the ideas and I shall ponder them over Christmas dinner number 2 tis afternoon.
The only problems I forsee is that the llamasu doesn’t get any protection whereas the Great Taurus does get some from flaming. I like the idea of more magic but how good really is shadow? Mindrazor is always worth it but I cant even take the signature with a Llamasu so haven’t used it much.
In my 2.5k list the Level 1 is going to be babysitting the hellcannon. As I couldn’t fit it in thought I would have her babysitting the Magma Cannon to see how she does, also if I get a lucky roll and get flaming sword on her, it gives me the chance to get some wounds back on the Great Taurus.
Yes, the blunderbuss unit does scream to be bigger but it wouldn’t benefit me really as they are only 6 wide and moving up like a block - the blunderbusses are more of an deterant not to try and block/redirect me with chaff.

Finally the relic sword seems pointless but he is fully kitted out for taking down Kdaiis - 2++ against flaming and a magic weapon wounding on 5s. I am a big believer in the idea of if you want to do well, how would you deal with facing your own army. I will however, consider what you said and try changing some of the things around.
First off I agree with TheFNG. The blunderbusses should be larger if possible. At 2000pts though you won’t be able to get a level 4 unless you drop the taurus.
Drop the carpet on the level 1 smith. Park him beside the cannon, if the cannon gets run over no big loss in losing the level 1.
You should look at splitting the hobgoblins into 2 units of 20 with bows…Shields aren’t really needed. This gives you 40 shots a turn and 2 drops.
If you need to save points to boost up the blunders I’d drop the shields on the hobgoblins and the carpet.
