A quick photo of my Skarloc’s Wood Elf Archers. For those keeping score at home, that’s two Regiments of Renown for 3rd Edition that I completed this year.

The Rugluds boyz. There is “Niblet” the standard bearer. 3 of the 24 troopers have lost the weapon blade

Not RoR per say, but in the ballpark…
As anyone who knows me… knows, I’m not a fan of Bretonnia or Bret armies (nor some people I’ve run into who play them). Not intended as a slight, just my experience. And funnily enough they were the first incarnation of a Warhammer Army for me: for one game I played as a Bret player before switching the army to Empire.
These guys represent some of the earliest minis I ever bought for Warhammer. I just removed their paint from probably their third time. The last paint job was way to thick and goopy.
As you can see they are now stripped down and ready to go but I’m not going to use them as Brets however. One really, really side project is to assemble a small force of Old Worlder Mercenaries under the 3rd Edition rules! These guys are at 22 (20 is the maximum listed in the unit entry) but I’m not worried about that. Its not like the 3rd Edition police are showing up at my door. I also have 10ish crossbowmen I can use as well for the force. I also have 11 Bretonnian Knights mounted on 5th Edition Bret horses, I was smart enough however to save the horses over the years however (sans a lot of the tails). I think I might strip them down and repaint them as mercenary knights too. Need some Dettol for that as the plastic and paint are fairly well encrusted on the horses.
All in all this could be fun.
Anyways here is the stripped down bowmen unit who will feature a lot of browns and tans almost like archers of Henry V’s time…
Its hard to see but the guy in the back rank with the beaver hat is missing his hand and bow. Back in the day old of the blister his bow was malformed and I used a tooth pick to fix having no idea what to due as a novice modeler. Over time I tried various fixes. Now I’m awaiting the arrival of Blue Stuff to cast a replacement hand and bow.

Quick post, have to bolt out the door.
I’ve had these guys for years and just repainted them. Went for an tan look for the hobgoblins. Came out well in my estimation and mimicked a grassland feel for the bases and movement tray.
