Alright folks, not sure if this has been mentioned before, or if I’ve necessarily put it in the right place, BUT inside the latest rulebook (the big fat one, not the Island of Blood one) if you guys turn to page 446 and look at the picture of the greenskin force, you may or may not notice something.

See, I’m not sure if I am seeing what I think I’m seeing, but if you look at the rock lobber it appears to have an unpainted plastic rock attached to it, which is strange since GW only shows unpainted models in conversion/painting guides or srpue pics.

I have my doubts though because the rock-holding gobbo next to it has a rock of similar colour, but at the same time that gobbo’s rock has highlighted edges and such to indicate it actually has been painted. So um yeah. Oh that and the giant’s skin seems like it’s had an undercoat and a basecoat only.

It just hasn’t been highlighted. Flat base colour only. The Giant’s skin is highlighted, I think, it’s just a bit subtle.

No, the rock on the Rock Lobba certianly isn’t highlighted - it looks different from the rest of the (excellently painted) army. It’s pretty clear it’s in flat grey, but I’m pretty sure it’s not bare plastic - mostly because the Rock Lobba is a metal model…

A quick search of the metal model reveals that the rock is not the default, the standard weight is a rock with a face carved into it.

But I can see how it’d be a flat grey. I feel fairly foolish now that I’ve taken a second look at it…

it’s Ben Johnson’s army, his army was featured in a white dwarf battle report( white dwarf nmr.357(the one with space hulk).
