Hello all, since the release of tamurkhan and the new forgeworld chaos dwarf stuff, i’ve finally decided to stop being a full time lurker!
I was wondering if anyone had the FAQ that the site’s wiki references that suggests how to combine the ravening hoards and legion of Azgorth (sp?) lists. I felt like the wiki was pretty clear, but for things like different versions of mortars, missiles, and hobgoblins that are essentially just updates to their ravening hoards equivalents, should i just abstain from using the older versions for simplicity’s sake? I’ve looked through everything I can find to no avail. any info at all would help! :hat off
You should probably just use one or the other. The Legion of Azgorh mostly has everything the old Ravening Hordes list has - you’re just missing a few greenskin units really. Obviously Warriors will have to be Infernal Guard.
If you did want to combine them, there’s no “legal” way to do it, but you might want to look at the rules for using LoA units in Warriors of Chaos armies and perhaps substitute all references to “Warriors of Chaos” with “RH Chaos Dwarfs” or something? That would probably be fair.

Thats sort of what I was going for, just so I could use some non-infernal guard chaos dwarfs. Another fix could be to just take the units that arent represented in LoA and plug them into their appropriate FOC spaces... That wouldnt be legal at all in the normal sense, but my group is fairly laid back and let me do something similar for using Storm of Chaos demon units...
