Now here is the Slave Ogre. I don’t own his proper attendants but the Juggernauts Boar Centaur was handy

Abecedar:
And Lastly some of the Slave Troll who is pulling the Juggernaut.
the bar through the Juggernaut is made of long match sticks and pulls out either side into two interlocking pieces

He is obviously a BFSP Troll. The bar he is pushing is a chuppa-chup lollipop stick. His belt is cardboard or plastic. The belts rivets are “railway nails”. The chains from cheap jewelry and any other rivets either small nails or metal pins
Zanko:
Love your conversons! :hat off
Great stuff & great paintjob! :cheers
Must think about stealing this or that detail!
Btw you got my vote - like already mentioned!
:hashut
Abecedar:
Thanks Zanko!
I’m re-doing the bases on all of them and they will probably finish up as unit fillers.
Bloodbeard:
Some very good WIP shots Abecedar, and more importantly some better detail shot of your huge entry. It makes me appreciated it so much more. It’ impressive have much you use wood and cardboard in your conversions. I used that back in the day, but got tired of the cardboard falling of over time - might be because I used waterbased pva glue.
You have a good understanding of how to use chains in your conversions, especially the BfSP troll is good. The belt I’ll have to remember for the future.
A couple of questions:
Is it balsawood you’re using? Having workd with it yet, but I’m conderings adding some to my material box along side all the palstic.
Abecedar:
I don’t use balsa wood much at all, though I do have some. It tends to flex and bow a bit too much for my liking. The “bases” of the litter and the pallets are 3 wooden tongue depressers glued side by side onto cardboard with a weight on top until everything is really dry. Then I cut them to what-ever size I decided on. I then just drag a fine gouge point down along them to make the grain effect. The rest of the wood is usually from different sized matches. I really like using the extra long ones for the edges on my movement trays.
And thinking back the “belt” could actually be plastic sheet / card. Though all the bracing straps on the litters is cardboard.
Abecedar:
And another thing I tend to do is cover any wood, cardboard and especially MDF with a coat or two of diluted “Bond-crete” glue, at about 1:4 with water. It seals the surfaces against moisture and any cracks it seaps into, it adds more adhesive too.
Admiral:
Lovely entry, no wonder you were in amongst the top entries voted for. :hat off
Abecedar:
Here is my mounted Woc Hero again. I think I’ve finished him now. Though I’m still not sure of the theme for their bases yet

Fuggit Khan:
I loved your entry, it was hands down my most favorite. There were so many small details that you put in, but somehow I missed this one:
… for their war machine emphasis, they are bearing home the damaged whirlwind and its deceased boar centaur ( he is under the rug).I saw the Whirlwind bits, but I somehow missed the dead Bull Centaur…very clever sir!

I tried to get the broken wheel clearly visible but didn’t succeed real well. He will get revived with Hashuts blessing when I put his leg back on.
Abecedar:
Here are the WHFB goodies I procured at our CanCon games convention last weekend.
Two Ral Partha (I think) Rabbit Warriors for $2.00 ea.
Three Goblin netters for $2.00 ea.
And some War Beast two headed hounds for about $5.00. I’ll probably convert them and add them to my Chaos Dwarf Beastmasters pack of hounds.
Yodrin:
A lot of cool stuff, great conversions and paint jobs!!!
The Juggernaut - troll conversions is awesome, love it!!!
Abecedar:
Back in post No 1, I originally tried to show a picture of my whole O&G army but it repeatedly failed.
I have now finally succeeded
Dînadan:
Impressive, any idea how long it’ll take to paint it all?
Abecedar:
Probably not until after Ragnarok occurs. I’ve only fully painted a single unit of BFSP spearmen so far plus 2 or 3 heroes.
All my efforts are focused on my CD’s and my Saga stuff.
Abecedar:
Have finally gotten some work done on my WoC warshrine. It has been a couple of years and it still isn’t quite finished yet.
A few minor changes but not much. I have a few ideas for the space in front of the sorcerer but no decision yet, One is a fire pit.
So apart from the “fire pit”, the daemonette and the Cold Ones faces and their harnesses, my main stumbling block is deciding on an overall scheme for the WoC bases.
Here is it two years ago.
And here how it is today.

The rear end and a close up of the rear end with a slave/sacrifice reaching out through the bars

The Daemonette and the hinged cage door both can be removed to see the two captives inside

I’ve added a closer photo of the Sorcerer in his Bone Armour. He’s holding an elf head as one idea is to have the heads thrown into the fire-pit

Abecedar:
Cripes, its been a year since I last posted here. Not much done in WoC, not much done in anything except CD’s.
I’ll blame the harsh taskmasters we have here.
As well as re-linking a lot of the photos I had to move folders the for
A small start on doing some Chaos Warhounds including redoing my ‘Cerberus’ to match my new preferences with their fur.

Admiral:
Neat Warhounds (yet another bunch of great 6th ed metal miniatures)! That converted Warshrine is a supreme build! Great use of miniatures and scratchbuilding. A feast for the eyes. :cheers
