Seeing the dwarf with the chainmail bread-like mask is encouraging, as was the limited re-release of that old Blood Bowl team. One has to hope GW figures out there’s an appetite for Dawi Zharr out there sooner or later, and that Forge World isn’t doing enough to sate us. I’d be happy to see a Chaos Dwarf faction for AoS or this new Warcry thing.
tjub:
First of, I haven’t read the book myself. But was listening to a podcast called “the Mortal Realms” which focus on the narrative side of Age of Sigmar. In their latest pod they go through and talk about the book Scourge of Fate, including loads of SPOILERS so be ware!
But according to them there are some Legion of Azgorh who have set up shop in the Varanspire etc… :hat off
If someone have the book Im sure they can give a more correct reference.
Admiral:
Good catch, tjub! And what a lovely front page illustration on Scourge of Fate!
It sounds like that podcast may be a good way to catch up on AoS developments (I’m usually too busy working to get to read much nowadays). Noted! :hat off
Gargolock:
It always feels nice to be mentioned officially. I now kinda want to pick up this book to read it simply to find out more about the presence of the LoA.
Nicodemus:
Nice
This message was automatically appended because it was too short.
Heavygear:
The Everchosen are the only faction that can take LoA as allies so that does make sense.
Great to see that the authors still have the Legion of Azgorh on their mind! The next tiny tidbit of evil Dwarfness in AoS, the plot thickens. I really, really hope they come around and release some kind of Chaos Dwarfs.
tjub:
...I really, really hope they come around and release some kind of Chaos Dwarfs.Something related to Zharr Vyxa would be cool, but I agree when GW release something CD-related for AoS Im on board again! :D

tjub:
So the latest “Warhammer Community” teaser had this image at the end…
…which got me thinking of the Black Kraken from Dreadfleet…
…AoS has been know for dropping these small nuggets before, which at first seems like nothing special and only after the reveal you get the big picture. But most probably nothing more than your everyday AoS Kraken. And its kinda hard to tell if its bio or mech. At least its worth a notice, eh? :hat off
tjub:
Hmm, oh well the article on WC hints on “…ancient evil trapped on the shores of Lake Lethis…” which is located in Shyish, but not really that close to Zharr Vyxa. But it seems to be conected to the sea at least.
Sadin2912:
I HOPE WE ARE GETTING PIRATE CHAOS DWARVES!!!
Admiral:
Oh yeah, great catch! It is indeed hard to make out, but I get the impression that the green eye bulb in the art is a reference to the studio paintjob on the Black Kraken. Whether Chaos Dwarf or not, AoS is getting better and better. Pirates! High seas! Yarrrr! :yar
Great catch!
So my gut points more to a bio-kraken, but it resembles the Black Kraken model veeeeeery well, and I don’t believe in coincidences. We might actually be getting new Chaos Dwarfs, guys :hashut
Admiral:
It could also be part mechanical, part biological. Or perhaps the fleshy parts are in fact a molested Daemon? Would fit with the Asscannon and Hellcannon concepts well enough. Looking forward to see more here.
Gargolock:
Oh my, I am looking at this from quite the optimistic stance. I really, really hope it is Chaos Dwarfs.
Nicodemus:
Hmm. Probably not, knowing how these things go. If it is I’ll eat my hat! :hat off
Admiral:
Keep some salt ready at hand. Just in case, Nico! A hat of that prominent size will keep you fed for a long time.
Thommy H:
Just checked the map of Shyish in the Core Book and Stygxx, where the storyline for Forbidden Power takes place (home to Lake Lethis) is actually near Zharr Vyxa! I doubt it’ll come to anything, but the lore does involve Grugni (he appears in the dramatis personae section, shown in one of the previews) and the Fyreslayer battletome has a bit about him supposedly having returned and rumours of his plans to reunify the duardin.
So, if he’s around and there are “twisted duardin” close by…you never know!
Nicodemus:
