You probably saw the thread a couple of months ago, but not many people popped in. Me and the team over at Furnace Games are endeavouring to create a free tabletop wargame in a fantasy setting (starting of with a skirmish game) available as an e-book.
But right now there is one valuable commodity we are rather short of. Awesome artwork and having seen the stuff that’s posted up in the artwork thread I know your not short of it here! :hat off
TBQH- this is a laudable goal but it’s a mammoth undertaking. I think your best bet is to focus on getting rules solid first then focus on art and presentation.
@Willmark: I do know this is a mammoth undertaking and have been told so several times, so you’ll be pleased to know we’ve made good progress (which has ground to a halt recently) We have the basic rules framework almost complete and I’m currently formatting it into the trial skirmish game book. The thing we lack is ideas for each race. Artwork directly correlates to the development of each race - as it gives the readers (and myself) a lot more picture about each race. Hope that explains my reasoning.
@mattbird: It’s a shame. But a soon as you do, feel free to come and pay us a visit. Thanx for the link by the way. It looks like amazing artwork, if he’ll do some that would be awesome. I’ve spent hours trawling the net for existing artwork. Our rather unique (some would say crazy) look on the traditional discounts a lot of stuff.
Hey Baggronor is that chalk and paint ? Looks like some of the things I did for my art A levels in chalk and paing on paper and canvas. That female vamps quite cool.
