[Archive] Army specific tips (LoA)

Bloodbeard:

A couple of days ago TheHoodedMan, uploaded some tactics on fighting skaven into the RH tips forum. I’ve been looking through some of the great threads in “Army specific tips (RH)”. But they do lack under being pretty old, earlier edition armybooks and from a RH perspective.

Our Daemonsmith Handbook is a great tool, and when fielding new units I always read the thread on that unit.

Could an admin please make a subforum for “army specific tips (LoA)”, we could call it something cool. Like “The Castellans Playbook”, or something like it.

I’ve had some great tips and advice come up for fighting different enemies and many user often ask for tips against specific enemies. I would be really nice to have a place, to collect such advice and tips.

I would like love to open up the different threads, and update them as the discussion is going. So that post 1, in every thread acts as a collection of tips, people agree on. Post 1 could be build up around a certain template.

Example:

General tips for fighting WoC

They bring high armour, bring high strentgh.

Best magic offence

Lore of metal, because… etc…

Unit specific tips

Juggernaughts of Khorne

The way to bring down these beast is by… jada jada…

What do you think?

MadHatter:

GDD:

I think all warhammer forums should have this. Would be awesome. If anyone plays a second army their input would be glorious.

TheHoodedMan:

Sounds good.

I would love some tips for starting out. Im planning on starting my whfb 8th at small points with inspiration from CDO, so based off everyones elses lists, i think a lvl 1 daemonsmith supporting a magma cannon or rocket launcher, and the rest as 2 units of IG either hw/s or blunderbuss.
