Satan:
Cool, hoping they announce it soonish!
Admiral:
Now that’s useful! How much might it cost?
fattdex:
Go to the site and find their zverograd monument piece, safe bet to be about that.
Sticklander:
Definitely interested!
Bloodbeard:
Nice piece of terain. Paint it in some very dark colours and “evil it up” just a bit. Would fit nicely with the gate I’m planning to build.
Admiral:
Yeah, dark colours would make wonders. Some simple additions could be some iron bands (Chaos star point-shapes?) of plasticard with a few rivets holding it together, or maybe a Chaos star plucked from the bitz box.
For big hat armies it would be extra appropriate to make the Lammasus look painted (i.e. not just stone colours).
fattdex:
It’s possible that other lammassu parts will be available, or it may be perhaps they were just cast for the diorama setups in the incoming DUST campaign.
It may even be possible for Vincent to cast you some if you ask him extra nice!!

I like the brick wall. Do anyone have good tips for how you can convert such an effect on your own for scratchbuilt terrain pieces? I don’t want a completely flat wall, but rather a slightly rough one like in the picture above, with some indented bricks.

I’ve used insulation foam to do that to good effect:

Abecedar:
@ Admiral. This is my first effort at bricks. Its just three MDF rings and a bit of work with an engraver.
And does anyone remember the massive “Dwarf” mining / fortress from a while back. I cannot find it. It was created using MDF and other stuff.
Abecedar:
I found some pictures that I’d saved of the aforementioned mine.
Admiral:
Here’s the link to the mine.
Thank you for the tips, all!
The insulation foam seem promising. My limited experience of it tells me you must’ve used something else than the usual rough stuff in houses. What kind of foam was it? What’s the name?
Abecedar:
Only real trouble with styrofoam is you cannot spray paint it due to it melting. You’d be surprised how easy it is to use MDF. Yeh it can be messy with dust and all but styrofoam is messier as little bits just get blown all over the place and it isn’t bio-degradable.
Admiral:
Then I could borrow a workshop during the evenings for MDF work, since it’s healthier. Just use mouth piece. I’ll look into MDF later on.
Thanks for the tip!

I picked up the high density insulation foam at the hardware store - it’s really inexpensive. Regarding painting, I just use cheapo acrylics from the dollar store.
