Has anyone run a 8+ BC unit with/without a Tau’ruk? What were the results?
I ask, because I kind of want to try one myself as I think that they would make an incredible mess of an opponent’s battleline. They’re very fast and could hold up an Ogre Gutstar, any Skaven Horde, most Elven units, and well, a lot of other things as well.
I know points wise it doesn’t make much sense, but they are cool models and it might be fun to try in a casual game.

Ive got to say, I really like the sound of this - how to make it work effectively may take some fiddling - A Taurruk is needed methinks - but I think we should do more of this.
I go to a lot of tournaments and my friends are all quite good (in the last tournament I was the only one of the four of us that didn’t win best in race and to more shame there was only 2 chaos dwarf players there so I came second out of 2!). My friends suggest lists for me and they are always - blocks of dwarfs hiding characters, 2 hellcannons and chaff for redirecting. I get that this list is competitive but boring as hell.
I like chaos dwarfs for their monsters, magic, crazy rules and monsters - a horde of BC sound fantastic - please give it a try and tell us what how it went.

Bolg, you the man! Love your post and all the great pictures. I don’t think I’ll take the horde out for a tourney, but a local friendly game is a definite must after reading your post!
