Will Liam very nice Giant. Among your Chaos Dwarfs he will look absolutly okay and will share some laughs.
As a stand alone miniature he looks dumb. A non Chaos Dwarfs player would think what’s wrong with you. 
And excellently painted.

It’s a brilliant idea and the barrel bit fits perfectly with the rest of the giant. And you should definately keep it looking like a barrel, with a shield.
Try dropping the non-marauder shield. I think it would look better being only the marauder shield on the barrel. Try it out.

My next Giant idea - will need to add some green stuff at the base of the shield hat to fill some gaps then I think it should be ready to paint
