No solution is totally satisfying as there is no ‘always wound on a 6’ rule and no rule to cover wounding on a 7. So, at the moment, the only real solution is that if it takes it to 7’s to wound then it wont wound.
Am not saying this is the best way to play it, just stating the current rules as they are at the moment.
