[Archive] [Blood Bowl] Zharr-Naggrund Juggernauts

Loki:

Great work once again Red Skullz they are really looking good

Willmark:

There is some cool stuff here, can’t imagine where it might appear in the near future.

Red Skullz:

Thanks guys

What do ya mean Willmark?

R

Willmark:

The Word of Hashut ezine; you may have heard of it?

Snotling:

Yeah, the spikes and rivets on the one player with the gauntlet are pretty cool. even unpainted he look badass! :hat off

Red Skullz:

@Willmark:

I do now  Well sure, let me know what you need and I should be able to help!

@Snotling:

Thanks mate! Must admit that I`ll most likely loot your hobgoblin design

R

Red Skullz:

Heres the nurgle-ish looking helmet blocker:

Made the halfnhalf spikes vs rivets due to the horn on the helmet. Only thing Im wondering on is if I should add rivets to the left side of the helmet or not. Ideas?

R

Loki:

I think he looks great as i, you dont want to make the model look to cluttered, all he needs is a cool paint job

Red Skullz:

Good point! Will update with the team captain as well today, glue is drying at the moment. Then it`s only the final starting line-up blocker before I can move on to either hobgoblins or bull centaurs

R

Red Skullz:

Quick update!

Heres the four first blockers:

Nothing more to add really but Im happy so far  For the fifth blocker Im still kinda wondering on magnetising one arm in case I roll doubles, but with my luck Im not betting money on that! Still it would be cool to have one ready for that eventuality.

Also, heres the early (EARLY) mock-up of a Bull Centaur:

I went googling on centaur pics just to get an idea of their shape and form. Besides the basis here so far isnt a bull but a horse I think that overall it looks good, not to big and not to small as he`s ST 4 in BB. Parts breakdown:

- marauder horse (new)

- plastic black orc torso and arms

- ogre head

- 40mm base

R

Loki:

Great work mate, the line up is looking really good  the bull centaur looks great as well are you going to give him armour like the blockers ? also any idea how your going to do the hobgoblins? Its really great to see this project grow, i am already looking forward to your next update

Red Skullz:

Thanks  Yeah Im planning on tying everything together so that it looks coherent but vary as much as I can within that formula like with the blockers. I do have some ideas for the hobgoblins and those are quite similar to what Snotling did with his. Im still quite uncertain though so I think I need to focus on them pretty soon to get it out of my system!

R

Red Skullz:

Last update for today:

Mocked up no.2 as well since I had everything ready. More or less the sam base parts but I used a bare blorc head and a trimmed down defiler mask just to move away from the orcy traits. Also started shaving the chins off no.1. The bulges on his forehead went off as well.

As with the blockers I`ve used goblin (old plastic) noses to get that pointy look. Then a combination of various horns and plasticard rods for fangs and teeth.

I really like the aggressive stances on both and they are on the track I wanted them to be on (so far).

R

Red Skullz:

Morning all

I was wondering if anyone could help making a logo for the team as well as developing names and background stories for the players?

R

Red Skullz:

Since theres been some remarks on me getting some chaotic dwarfes painted I thought Id show my two main teams just to give you an idea of where I`m going colour-wise:

If you click on the player in the roster overview you get to see their pics and profile.

Snotling:

The Gobbo team is really cool, I like your conversions and I’m a big fan of Gobbos on pogo sticks! :hat off

Well, for a logo and a name you should open a thread in the Ideas&Advices section and give some hints in which direction you want it. In general, you have a lot possible names and logos. For a name it could be something like “The Zharr-Naggrund Enslavers” or “The Industrial Revolution” or “Hashuts Ball Catchers” and for logos you can build something out of the typical CD symbols like lightnings, skulls, skulls with a lightning in it, whips, cogwheels, bulls… there is a Word of Hashut (or more than one?) with CD banners in it, I don’t know exactly in which one. There you can get your inspiration.

Red Skullz:

Thanks

I already have a name for the team, its the logo and name/profiles on the players I need :) Ill put up a thread later in the correct forum and hopefully it`ll do the trick

R

Henroth:

While I was away on work I decided to spike up the first blocker more, started with the mohawk on the helmet but I added a few more here and there:

Red Skullz
This model likes. :D Good work.

Red Skullz:

Thanks mate

Red Skullz:

Morning!

First off, heres the team captain with mustache and eyebrows:

Looks a lot more like a chaos dwarf now :)

Second off is Bull Centaur #1:

Irritating that the left side of his jaw looks like a greenstuffed blob...its hair but it doesnt show on the pic..
Like the style with mix of freeflowing hair and braids, when its all dry Ill use an exacto knife to make hairstrands on the braids. Now Ive only done the upper body, next will be fleshing out the lower body with armour first and foremost.
