Ubertechie:
This is the 1st of a Blunderbuss rules clarification i have been working on with willmark et al.
It is the Ravening Hordes rules, plus the clarifications from US GT and 2004 chronicles / FAQ’s with a few images for further clarification. I have been using it regularly - handing it to my opponents before each game - and they have really appreciated it and it has lead to them understanding blunderbusses and not having to ask multiple questions during the game. Plus I don’t like winning a game because my opponent doesn’t know a rule
Feedback is welcome
Cheers
NOTE: Those of you that have queried the monstrous mount thing - Refer to page 61 of the rule-book - 3rd paragraph on left hand side - this specifically deals with template weapons (how we are directed to think of blunderbusses) and explicitly states that both the mount and the rider(s) are all hit.
Pyro Stick:
This should prove useful. It looks fine to me apart from a few spelling and grammer errors. What other pdf’s are you planning on doing?
wizuriel:
you sure for ridden monsters and stuff everyone gets hit?
the original rules says all models get hit and a lord mounted on a dragon is usally considered just 1 model isn’t it? (that or my friend has been cheating)

This I would say is a tricky one - they are 1 model in that they move coherently and the lord cant get of a dragon or a chariot - however they fight / can be attacked separately and 1 can die without the other - the later means that they are 2 models (as you cant remove 1/2 a model) therefore they can both be hit. Also missile file (normal) is randomized between the 2 - again proof they are 2 models not 1
Hope that helps
cheers
Steven:
I like it. Looks really good.
Canix:
Good stuff Ubertechie that pdf is useful indeed .:hat
Hmm monstrous mounts That is a tricky one and could well need clarification with opponents .
Fridericus_Rex:
I like it very much. It’s very useful. But, something happend… I clicked the false button. Maybe the admins can help. I pressed ‘no’ but I wanted to press ‘yes’.

but its still a shooting attack. Even though it's a shooting attack that hits all models according to the rule book for shooting you need to randomly choose who gets hit since monsterous mounts/chariots are counted as 1 model. Unfortunitly there is no special blunderbuss rule to overwrite that.

Excellent work by Ubertechie. I have been helping with the rewrite of the PDF list in order to get it started. We figured this is a good place to start since it is a bit clunky. Please refer to the Project Development section to see how you can help further.
At this stage Uber can use a few more people to help as he is directing this project. This simply the first stab look for more in the near future.
Hrothgar Goldgreed:
Ok, but what if there is a combat going with a friendly unit, although only the enemy unit is in the target zone? Would you be able to fire with your blunderbusses? I came up with this question after pic No 4, since that confuses me, just a little.

No you can NEVER shoot into combat with blunderbuss's we aren't skaven and we aren't a template weapon that can scatter therfore it can never happen.
Hope that helps - basically you need line of site to a target and you can never hit (or potentially hit) any of your own models or models in close combat
Hrothgar Goldgreed:
Ok ok, pic 4 just confused me. No need to be so agressive

Sorry - No aggression intended - merely emphasis :-)

Lord Zarkov:
I would query that you don’t get ‘look out sir’, particularly if you are picking out characters and hitting both parts of ridden monsters/characters
The way I read it is a template weapon (in the same way as a cannon) and therefore characters should be getting ‘look out sir’ as usual.
cornixt:
I agree with Lord Zarkov.
I’d advise moving the Skirkishing green bases in the diagram a tiny bit away from the line so it doesn’t look like it is touching. Also might be a good idea to replace the arrows with a large rectangle to show it has a definite fire zone.
metro_gnome:
BBs are subject to look out sir…
“It also applies to any ranged attack that uses a template” p.73 BRB
Willmark:
Good suggesstions all around. Uber: I’d incoroprate them and get some play testing done to see the results.
51la5:
It looks great also you might want to do a pic showing that a unit can?Tt fire into combat even if the friendly unit is not in the fire zone.
