[Archive] Blunderbuss template

poutsma:

Hey,

Caveat lector: I am not sure if this idea has been posted before, nor am I sure if this forum is the proper place to post it. Admins, feel free to move/close this thread.

As most people using the RH CD list, I often have arguments as to which models fall under the 12" fire zone of the Blunderbusses. Using a tape measure is a bit clunky, so I decided to create a Blunderbuss template:

It’s simply a 12" x 20cm piece of sturdy transparent plastic, bought at a local hobby store. I carved 2cm wide “fire lanes” in it with my hobby knife, for a total of 10 lanes. When I fire the BBs I simply place the template in front of the unit, and can clearly determine which model has been shot and which hasn’t. No more arguments!

I thought this might help other CD fans out there, hence the post :).

thats kinda cool, nice simple solution.

Lord Fokke:

I like it, came out well. Might do that myself for when I play the RH list.

Hashut’s Blessing:

Such a simple idea and yet none of us have thought to do it before, lol

I was going to make something like this but it just didn’t seem necessary enough in my games.
