So here is my basic unit of hobgoblin Warriors. Trying to figure out a paint scheme for them. Should I go black robes like the Sneaky Gits or a more brown/burlap color? Maybe something else. I want them to be grimy and dirty looking.
Here are my wolf riders (well, just placed on wolves right now, will be glued on when done). In m counts-as list, they are pistoleers. Otherwise, they have bows. I think blackpowder i more appropriate for a CD army, even for the hobgobs. More metal, more technology. Same deal with the color.
Very cool indeed… wish I could find resin or something similiar for casting locally to do the same thing… am going to have to redouble my efforts to look for them I think…
So after seeing the pic of the art for the new forgeworld hobgoblins, I thought to myself that I needed to have a head like that for my ever growing hobgoblin units. Rather than sculpt it over and over again, I took an existing head and modified it to what I remembered of the pic (as it seems to have disappeared) and cast it (along with the 5 other masters I had). I had to play with the brightness levels for the followign pic, since I cast it in a new resin I have never used before and it comes out REAL white.
So to be sure that it actually looks good, I decided to use it for my Hobgoblin Warrior test mini. I went with a different skin tone, and have yet to choose between the two which one will be the standard.
WOW! Love the Steam tank concept, really cool… and it fits in with the Forge World stuff that will be coming out! When is your tournament? Can’t wait to see your massed force together!

The shields i am using are a combination of the Marauder shields and the Beastmen Ungor shields. I like how they look cobbled together but yet still Chaosy. The Skaven plague monk bodies work so well it should be criminal.
As for the eyes, I have it white with a red pupil. I have seen red with a yellow pupil look real good, but I want them to match the O&G I already have painted, which is white/red.
Also painted up a Taurus. Havent gotten to the rider yet. My main theme is going to be warmachines and daemon-steam, so not sure where he would really fit.
