[Archive] BSL Round 8 - Don't matter if you're green or white vs. Hashut Cowpokes

clam:

Don’t matter if you’re green or white (Borador)

Hashut Cowpokes (Ryanamandaanna)

GRNDL:

Wow, that IS a tough decision.

G.2:

I’m really liking the green and white paint scheme…AND…that Bull Centaur is impressive. - Hard One!

DAGabriel:

Clash of styles! Like them both really well. Let me sleep a night over this decision.

Mostyn:

I agree with everyone else - two great entries, but for completely different reasons. A bull centaur giant is simply madness and the colours on the Borador’s entry really compliment the figures. I may have been swayed by my love of the old skool figures although this says more about my great age rather than the entries!

Well done to both of you.

Borador:

Woah I got some fierce competition here, very well painted Ryanamandaanna!

Thanks for the comments guys

DAGabriel:

You really didnt have to say that, Mostyn. Now everybody looking at my age will know where my vote went. <br>Nevertheless I am impressed by Ryans minis, more so by the dwarfs than by the Bull Centaur. What are these minis and how did you do the blades?

Zanko:

The green/white guys are great - so old school! I love them! :hat off

They got my vote! :cheers

                      :hashut

Blue in VT:

I agree that these are wonderful entries. The clam figures are really good…is that a Zonk cast Ass cannon?

Anywyay…the Bull centaur scares me!

Blue

ryanamandaanna:

Hat’s off to you, Borador, those look great! :cheers

The minis with the swords are the models I’m using for Ironsworn. They had large Persian-ish swords, so I just decided to make them fire-blades. Undercoat white, and then layer yellow, orange, red, and then black.

DAGabriel:

@ Borador: Love that shield, great first try.

Borador:

@Zanko cheers!

@Blue Thanks, that means a lot (to me) coming from you! Yeah it’s the Zonk Asscannon. It will have to do until I can afford a real one haha.

@Ryanamandaanna thanks mate! The scimitar models look especially cool in these colours, makes them nice and evil looking!

@DAGabriel Thanks dude, it really gave the model a little extra something, that link was plainly awesome (:

Blue in VT:

The Dwarves with scimitars are part of this very interesting range of dwarf models that is being produced by CP Models…I think they are very cool and have an Arabian feel that I thought could be corrupted for CD very easily…obviously Ryanamandaanna thought so too!

you can see the whole range here: http://www.cpmodelsminiatures.co.uk/CP%20MODELS%2028MM%20DWARVEN%20EMPIRE.htm

if I had unlimited time and money I would certainly have an army of these guys just for fun…alas…:frowning:

Cheers,

Chris
