Loidrial:
Are you allowed to play them in tournament?
WTF I was in GW Milano this morning and they told me they dont accept any rule from FW in tournaments (because FW stuff cant be purchase in GW…wow rly?), AND if in a normal match I wanna play them, I must have the approval from my opponent.
In Game Academy close where I live instead they told me "bring whatever you want"
I’m kinda disappointed and annoyed by this.
Malorndk:
Every Tournament Organizer (TO) determines his tournaments rules. If a TO decides Elves are silly, then elves arent allowed. If a TO hates canons, no one can bring them. Many TOs don’t know CDs as well, so they ban them, which is pretty standard procedure (though annoying)
Nearly every TO will even have the audacity to give some reasoning to their choices, which is often complete bullshit
Bloodbeard:
Tamurkhan and Monstrous Arcanun are allowed a GWs Grand Tournaments and Team Tournaments in Warhammer World. … Why GW in Milan would say no to an army published by FW is beyond me… Write to GW HQ an sak them about it.
The only GW store in Denmark allows CDs-

Greedy mentality, they told me "yeah but tamurkhan is fw, you cant get those pieces in our store" and shortly before that "dont you think is time to put them away? they are cool but we dont even allow them"
Oh well fuck you greedy moron. I went there for buy a blood red because mine is almost over, didnt even bother to spend 3,5 euro to them.
Just say "buy our shit" and literally their. Not GW but GW Milano. They helped us a lot with the rules, but liek everytime they try to push you in to buy stuff. Footlocker style.
I told him in case I will play my CD as normal dwarves, and I will download that army book too.
Abecedar:
Only tournament I ever entered said no to LoA so I played them as ravening Hordes and got thrashed.
It is a mentality that sux.

That's weird. Sydney Slaughter (most recent in Oz) allowed them, and so has every other recent one that I've seen. Which one was it, mate? Was it a while back?
Geist:
I am sorry to hear this mindset across the pond. It is not a problem I have encoutered here, in the union.

TheHoodedMan:
In Germany most tournaments allow Chaos Dwarfs.
ETC rules contain them anyway and 2014 at ETC were a decent number of CD armies in the teams. There are some tournaments which use ETC rules.
One of the most popular tournament systems in Germany COMBAT allow them as well and playable builds are possible.
There are two or three less popular systems which allow them but heavily restrict some of the strongest choices. You can play CD, but probably very difficult (despite some people state that CD are strong even under this circumstances).
But I know of no tournament where CD are banned right away. And at most tournaments a lot of players use at least partially alternative models for their armies, too (I saw a whole Mantic Dwarf army and more than one Demon army with Titan Forge models for Nurgle Beasts).
I don`t play in shops, so I have no experiences with that, but the nearest big independent retailer allows them as well.
