[Archive] Chaos Dwarf Scenery

A while back somebody posted asking what kind of scenery they should have for CD.

This is the stuff I am working on. It is not finished, and is designed to be functional rather than pretty, but hopefully it might be of some help:

Kera foehunter:

that is so cool i like the tare pit .the best post ever!!

Ghrask Dragh:

Very, very cool!

this stuff is excellent, :hat off wallacer

how about including a mini for some scale pics?

Yeah… add a little gobbo drowning in the tar pit! :hat off

Including miniatures for scale is a good idea (or at least it would have been a good idea before I took the pictures).

The ziggurat can hold a line of stunties on each step.

The toxic waste pool is about the size of a saucer.

The secone picture (the larger chemical plant) is about 2’ square.

The smaller chemical plant (the last picture) is about 1’ x 2’.

hat fanatic:

wow this stuff is great.

i really like the tar pit how did you get that glossy watery effect?

Kera foehunter:

hey wallacer could you give a list of what you use on the scenery

thanks Kera

Very good scenary. the tar pit was awsome.

Good wip, great scenery for 40k too.I think its a must to make scenery for me at some point:hat

D’dos Croizii:

Top Notch and awe inspiring the pit looks awesome, and the bull on top of the Ziggurat is a really Chaos Dwarf defining.

Uzkul Werit:

I love this. My favourite bit must be the terrain with all the piping.

Me likely this kicks butt! I really like the oil slick pool.

Wow, awesome stuff so far! Keep it up.

Positivly amazing!!!

Ishkur Cinderhat:

Wow, that’s really cool. Some of the stuff is too ‘techy’ for my taste, but it fits the CD theme nicely.

Plastic electrical wiring ducting.
Conflix chemical plant terrain.
3mm MDF.
Das modelling putty.
Woodland Scenics artificial water.
Blue insulation foam.
Dowelling for the mine entrance.
A toy cow for the "hashut Bull" on top of the Ziggurat :D

Yeah, I wanted to get the CD steampunk feel without making it look like 40k terrain (which is actually surprisingly hard to do).

Kera foehunter:

thanks Wallacer .that is the best Scenery i seen in a long time.

Truthness. It’s awesome.

Yes Wallacer that is truely awesome! - I like the Steampunk look a lot. Very CDish IMO!

id love to do CD scenery, but it would mean changing my battlefield to an ash waste rather than green, which is a shame because although thats fine for fantasy and 40k etc, its not much use for fighting out a 1/72 scale ardennes offensive.

just as a suggestion i think it woud look better if on the ziggurat the steps had shading on them, rather than a solid flat colour. i know its not finished so my comment may be premature so i apolagise if this is so.
