ok so i’ve got alot of great ideas about a more detailed novellaish origin story for the dwarf settlers of the mountians of mourn and how they became the chaos dwarfs that we all love. i’ve already writen a outline and all i have to do is dialogue and put in names and places. theres only one problem i’m totally inept at coming up with fanstay names that are worth while.
so what i need is for the CDO community to help me out a little!
i need names for the following characters
main cast:
The King
The Prince
3 Thanes
1 guide/hunter
1 blacksmith/armour
1 Chancellor/keeper of records
supporting roles:
1 hobo sneaky git chief
1 hobo Khan either based off of Timurlane’s name or preferably Ahmad Shah Massoud
1 orc chief
1 warrior priest/cultist of Khorne
clan names:
before chaos and after chaos
locations:
dwarf holds
names of valleys (one for a fanstay version of panjshir)
rivers like the one from the lake of eyes and the one that flows to gash kadrak
anything anyone gives me will be a HUGE help! thanks!!

Hmm I don’t know the names of the ruins tributaries I’m afraid the only maps I have of the area are the Tamurkhan one the Wiki one and the BRB one and neither mentions them, I would guess this means they aren’t named at all in GW fluff, perhaps just make em up.

i think there is enought licence that you could make a good amount of it up as you go along if you need a river make one up and make the name up for it as well
what kind of chaos dwarfs are you going to build the book around all school beards and hats the new loa mask style or from one of the indpendant books thommys or the indy list

they are going to be based off of the old school big hats. trying to figure out how to do the timeline atm because chaos shows up around -5600 and then the first incrusion is around -4920 but the dwarfs are freely colonizing the worlds edge mountians and the mountians of mourn till -4300, and the dwarf book says they stopped in -4500, and beat chaos in -4119, but then the CDs lose contact around -4000 due to the “tides of chaos from the north” only saving grace is that the dwarfs and elves only won in -4119 in the old world, so i can still have them under threat in the east.
still one would think that GW would of had some sort codex that all army book/fluff writers had to refrence first.
