I figure I might as well start a blog since I’ve got a whole army planned and a few of you seem like you wanted progress reports.
The army itself is gonna run under the Warriors of Chaos rule book and have some chaos dwarfs sprinkled throughout. My sorceror, BSB, chosen and hellcannon crew are all gonna be dwarfs (unless plans change for some reason) and there may be a few CD unit fillers here and there though I’ve not decided on that.
My Chaos lord is a black orc of the nastiest variety, and the core warriors units will be goblinoid with black orc unit fillers, I’ll be runnning squigs as warhounds and my chaos knights will likely be some version of mounted greenskins.
I’m sure its not an entirely original scheme but I like it and I’m gonna see what I can do with it.
So with out further ado, let me introduce my Chaos Orclord in pre-paint
I suppose I should give him an appropriate name like Krag Bunny Smasher or Lord Roidrage
Next I’ll either be finishing up my hellcannons or working on my sorceror since this is a Chaos Dwarf forum and I should show a little love.
Looking good! What about slightly beefing up the musculature around the head itself, and maybe the chin/jaw area? Can't wait to see how this turns out!

On the skincolour topic from your other thread: you could do bright yellows, that doesnt have a real connection with chaos gods, or mayhaps greys with coloured warpaint?

building up the jaw doesnt sound like a bad idea, I’ll think about it, but I kind of like his wee pea head,I think it makes his bulk even more over bearing.
Yellow skin…hmmmm…hadnt considered that one.I havent had much luck with making yellow look good in the past but yellow skinned greenskins could be interesting.

Only suggestion I have is this: you might want to give him a bigger axe, or add a left hand weapon.
(his current axe seems to be looking like a 1h to me thinking that two 1h’andeds or one massive twohander would look moor like: IMA WHOOP YO A…ppletree! might just be the photos though! )

He looks wicked! Awesome job… brutal! If you aren’t going classic green, I think Red would be wild, especially if it is a Chaos Army… Blood for the Blood God!
basiclly I’m trying to avoid skin colors that might hint at favortism towards any of the gods.
Grimstonefire suggestion of going black and working up to gray and washing in green is a better version of my original idea and thats what I’m leaning towards at the moment.But that doesnt mean I dont consider every suggestion:hat off.
@Borador- I really struggled with wether it should be a huge 2 handed axe or whether he should have a shield but in the end I was banking on the fact that being in a unit of chaos dwarfs might make him and his axe look that much bigger.I abandonned the 2 handed cuz I sort of had this image of him raging through the battlefield choke slamming dudes while choppin other dudes to bits and ripping off heads and throwing them back into the enemy ranks and just being generally gruesome with that free hand.But all in all I agree a bigger weapon may have looked better but I’m happy with this version too.Maybe when the army grows I’ll make another Orclord with a 2 hander…
