ready for some paint!

So I thought It was time to post them here,

They are based on BFSP miners, with weapon tops from chaos warriors, marauders and vampire counts.

Dead Kennedy:

I like the variety of masks. Especially dig middle dwarf in 2nd rank, the star-pattern beard shield looks quite cool!

Borador:

Dude, that stuff is nice! Real original models.

That banner is soooooo sweet! How did you do that exactly?

Great models, keep it up!

:hat off

RoguePanda:

>picks jaw up off floor< :o

I have to say these are very tasty models - I am very impressed! I am really fond of the sort of way you have extended the masks down over the upper section of the beards, it looks very good.

I hope you don’t mind if I take some inspiration from these when I get round to doing a unit with great weapons myself?

m3lvin:

RoguePanda: I’m pretty fond of it myself, and it took some time before I figured out what to name it, but just for simplicity sake i call it “beard-armour”  :)

And ofcourse I dont mind!, that’s what I’m here for :cheers

Borador: I forgot to mention one thing about the banner, the horns are made from old nightgoblin bows, with the metal looking detail cut off. but it would be pretty cool to leave them there aswell.

The skulls on the marauder banner were cut off, and placed on the bases instead.

How I sculpt the skulls would be pretty hard to describe with only words, perhaps I’ll have to make a video…

Thanks for the nice commets,

astragoth:

wich unit is the chaompions axe from?

m3lvin:

astragoth: the axe is one from the chaos warrior sprue.

The pike on top of it, is a speartop from the old nightgoblinsprue.

black hammer:

Good work, your masks are totally awsome.

Xander:

These are super cool! Excellent sculpting work!

Ishkur Cinderhat:

Very cool mask variations, I also love what you did with the banner, incorporating an oldschool chaos dwarf design and all. :hat off

Stubbs:

Your conversions are all so cool melvin wish I could sculpt like you :hat off

Fequiil:

how did you paint those axes(the ones that look so cool i mean.)?

p.s. those warriors are awesome!

Kered:

those axes are from my old marauders of khorne, painted maaany many years ago.
I guess it was made with a basecoat of mithril silver on the silver areas, and shining gold on the gold details.
then a wash of brown ink (yes, ink) ....and since they were khorne,
their weapons had to be drenched in bloood! ^^
so plenty of red ink was a must.

really sad part is though that gw doesn't make inks anymore :(
I didn't really like them applied on normal colours, but when used on metallics, they where great! ^^

@ all: thanks for the nice comments!
I really need to get some paint on these fellas ,..ehrm..x.x

Fequiil
not really, inks was very glossy and more floating than the washes
