Civilization! I recall playing ehm Civ 2 or 3 like 5 years ago, never really managed to upgrade to the highest tech level though, but hey, I was something like 9
Looking forward to this one =D
Edit: no wait, it was Civ 1 or 2 ;D and ehm it was even further back. might have been 6 or 7 back in the day when I played the first one
was a very nice game though. number 5 looks very promising, might even have to buy it
snowblizz:
Oooooh… that might be interesting. I actually bought the last one out,
Swissdictator:
I remember making a series of scenarios for Civilization III (and its expansions).
“Rome in the Modern World”. Apparently it was the first, and biggest, alternate history scenario for Civ III… I did put A LOT of detail into it.
Pyro Stick:
I think the only Civilisation game i ever played was Civ II: Test of Time. I could never understand how i was supposed to play it or win. I really didnt enjoy it. I dont see why people play this over something like Age of Empires.
Swissdictator:
Respectfully, AoE wasn’t anywhere near as good. Plus they’re two different styles of game AoE was Real Tme, and Civ was turn based.
Civ has a lot more detail and depth, which makes it very interesting. Sadly, Test of Time was a really goofy version of civilization… so that probably ruined the experience.
Civ is fairly straightforward. Before Civ III you either built a space ship to Alpha Centauri, or conquered the world. Civ III and after added more victory conditions.
Thorne:
The origanal and the best Civ I played for many a happy hour, Damn … I miss that.
