[Archive] Close ups of my Dracula Model

Tarrakk Blackhand:

Hi everyone!

Thought I’d throw you a different type of figure for a change.

Here’s a few photos of a 1/8th scale Monogram Luminator’s Dracula kit I built a few years ago. It has the Posthumous Productions Bela Lugosi replacement head and plaque as well as a few extra rats and bats from the Customizing Monsters sets. (3 Bats and 3 Rats)

I shot these pictures to test the close-up ability of my camera.

Enjoy!

The overall model (picture taken with our older Digi Cam)

And now the new close-ups!

Please let me know what you think!

tjub:

Hah, thats an odd model. Nicely done however, how big is it? I used to build them too when I was a kid, but only the clasic kid stuff likte air planes and a few tanks.

Kera foehunter:

so are these old models of the 70s

GRNDL:

Its 1/8th scale, so perhaps around 9" tall?

Methinks Tarrakk is going to try to win his own competition!!! Isn’t there some kind of rule like “friends and family of employees not eligible to enter”??

Tarrakk Blackhand:

@ Grndl - I build the “Example” models and then make my entrants meet or exceed my high standards.  - just joking!

@ Kera - These models came out in the 1960’s, starting with Frankenstein in 1961. They were originally produced by Aurora, but then the molds were bought by Monogram in the 1970’s.

@ Tjub - He’s about 6 inches tall.

Kera foehunter:

lol there older than most people on this site

Tarrakk Blackhand:

Yeah, including me!
