BeeZharr:

Love these creations, they look fantastic.

Ben Saunders:

Nice. I particularly like the Hammerer conversions, even though the heads do look a little elvish.

What are the things in the first two photos?

Thank you. I prefer to think of them as big hats.

The first models are just repainted toys with some added smoke effects. I plan to use them as magma cannons or deathshriekers.

The toys will look good as cannons and the hammerer conversions are pretty good as well.
Though I would take the fluffy bits of the top of the hats as that is what I think makes them a bit elfy.
and maybe add some short horns

I like the plumes. I wanted more of a steampunk look to my army so all my stuff is painted in metallics. The plumes allow me to add accents of color on an otherwise all metal model.

It is hard to see in the pictures but I sculpted beards from green stuff for each model. This takes away from the "elf look" There was another member here who used Dark Elf Executioner skull masks for head swaps. I remember thinking they looked great but others did not like them as much. To each his own.

Indeed, it's your army. I like them as they are too. It's a nice nod to the old big hats, without being exactly the same.

I think what they really remind me of is some 40k Custodes conversions:

Bloodbeard:

I like your stuff. How do you make the smoke? I use flock and super glue for a more rugged look.

Can we get a lighter picture of the infantry? Would like to see the elf helmets better. And beards.
