I have 80 FW IG with h&s. Instead of buying more IG, I thought I might split them up in 20s and an make a couple of unit fillers so I may get 4x30 IG with different weapons.
My hobby time atm is limited, so I hoped to only convert/switch the weapon arm.
Any suggestion on on bits/arms with GW - shooting weapon (BB/FG) I may use?

Scar has a unit of IGs wielding great weapons. I suspect he made those using Chaos Warriors’ great weapons! Here, scroll down :).

Yea, and those are great looking GW for sure. But I guess I have to take off both arm, not that thats a big problem though, but the ranking of the models is even more difficult. Holding the GW in one hand, they would be more flexible in the matter of different angles, or at least I think/hope…

Chop the hammer off, glue Chaos Dwarfs axes to the top and bam, you're done. Also, people here tried the guns from the Firedrakes kit to make Blunderbusses. Looked fairly good!

i have a demo in my blog for the WoC with gw method too. I’m in a similar situation I bought about 120 3rd party fw IG and I want to find a way to magnetize 30 warriors and keep a set of fireglaives, GW, Blunderbusses and hw/s , so I can get rid of the rest, as thats wayyyyy too many IG to have sitting around the place. not sure if i have the sanity or patience to drill so many tiny holes or assemble them that way. Ive seen a guy do it to his space marines so he could use any weapon combo option.

Cut the half of the bottom on the halberd and switch it at the hand. The “axe head” would maybe look/be to big and out of proportions, on the other hand, who doesn’t love a huge axe;)
