If I roll a “hit and misfire” the rocket shoots of 4d6, but do I still roll on the misfire chart?

Revlid:
No. The Rocket spinning off is the Misfire! result.
Alan the evil:
No. The Rocket spinning off is the Misfire! result.it's not totally correct:
Thommy H:
That’s what he meant, Alan. In the case of rolling both a hit and a misfire, the “misfire result”, rather than rolling on the chart, is the 4D6" thing.
Tarrakk Blackhand:
That’s when the rocket bounces all over the battle field…spinning out of control until it hits something, right?
Thommy H:
No, it just goes 4D6" in the direction indicated by the little arrow on the “Hit” symbol. In 4th/5th Edition it used to potentially bounce around a few times if you rolled right (or wrong, depending on your point of view…) but now it’s just one “bounce”.

Thommy H:
It’s okay - I think it was just a translation issue! I’m not clever enough to speak any other languages, but I’ve studied enough about English and its origins to know what a silly language it is. Any foreigner who can figure out how to speak or read it well enough to actually use it regularly has my eternal admiration.

I guess I must still be thinking of the 4th ed rules for rockets. Seems a little more “kool” back then in some ways…esp the rocket bouncing all over the place, however, I can see why they took that rule away as it could potentially take a week for a rocket to explode.
Thommy H:
No, it’s just that they had one paragraph to explain the rules in Ravening Hordes, so it got simplified. If you have two pages per army list, some rules have to go.

I once had a rocket ricochet 5 times around the board. It finally landed on the launcher and blew up - 5 minutes later my opponent and I stopped laughing long enough to remove the casualties...
