Agreeing with the two above gentlemen.Don't get me wrong I like all of them iron deamon hellshreiker and the magma cannon I do. The thing that I always look at is could you scratch build them yourself and I think you more than likely I could so for me I will not be getting any just yet.I agree. These pieces are great but given the hellcannon as the only pre-existing examples of chaos dwarf technology, I would have expected something that went further bringing in that more sculptural appearance. The hellcannon is daemonic but still these should have had a bit more going for them. Given this aesthetic I think my own scratch build will be more fun.

The magma cannon is very good, probably a “must be” in all the lists. With 2 of this things you can do a spicy barbecue with your opponents army ^^<br><br>And the deathshrieker is better than expected. Its a mortar but more aimed, and with the monsterslayer option. Not bad.

I like the deathshrieker, the magma cannon, hmm… not so much. (I dislike the crew anyway so I’ll just comment on the machine ;P)
What I do find odd is that you can’t add another vehicle to the back of the magma cannon and deathshrieker, there is no hook to attach anything to!

I’m actually waiting more for that book, with the rules and army list.
I like the models, but they are a little to expensive for me, certainly to collect a whole force of them. I dislike the horns on most of the dwarfs. If they where only present at some of the hero figures, it would be much nicer. Now they look a little cartoony for me.

Models are nice (except for the Deathshrieker crewman with the stick who, in that pose and with that beard and horns, kind of looks like Pan), but I'm not quite sure why the rules for the Deathshrieker feel the need to laboriously reiterate how a stone thrower is fired. About three paragraphs could be replaced with "fires as a stone thrower, but use the black powder war machine misfire table".I was wondering that myself though I do have a theory on how it could potentially be useful. Placing a token rather than picking a model means that you can potentially fire into combat or shoot a model behind a building (especially combined with the homing missile daemons ;))
Elementary mistakes like that don't make me optimistic about the eventual book...

There are simpler ways to do that (hobgoblins having "life is cheap" for example) but that's my thinking on why they did it.

Funny thing. I ordered my magma cannon and deathshrieker rocket 2 days ago, and just rec’d notice that it has been shipped. I thought it was a preorder for later this month? Maybe they are shipping early knowing that it won’t reach me in the States before the official release date. Can’t wait to get them and can’t wait for the basic CD warrios and BB to be released. I hope a GW option is included. -S
