[Archive] Destroyer from Spain

fattdex:

ages ago I asked if Resinlabs had considered making an evil version of theiir dwarf golem- he has gotten around to it now and made more of an opponent in a steam driven minotaur, have a look and see what you think

resinlab MODELS: From the depth of the earth...

Admiral:

That certainly have its uses for Chaos Dwarfs. It’d be nice to see a size comparison shot.

Yodrin:

Its a nice model, but I just don’t know…hmmm. You know the size?

Wolf :

The website states the following

"kit of 20 pieces, Height 120 mm for Fantasy Battles. Edition of 150 units

Special pre-order price: 75,00, + shipping cost"

120mm pretty big, but would similar to a Balrog as the base for the Destroyer is big.

MasterSpark:

The blog post states 120mm in height. It’s not very large, a little less than 5’’.

Edit: Ninja’d by Wolf!

hypnotix:

120mm tall is to few for destroyer . Especially that he is not broad or long so he won’t look good on 150x100 base in my opinion. And for fireborn he is too expensive.

Dînadan:

Could just be me, but the head looks too small in proportion to the body

Then why is it written different above?"Mechanical Destroyer Asterion is a resin kit that requires assembly and painting. 29 pieces in high quality resin, acrylic base and limited edition card."

I agree, looks a bit weird !!

I think it's also placed too low down on the torso - if the head was slightly higher, up between the shoulders it would look better.

Zanko:

Not bad but for the size much too expensive! :~

I like the placing of the head. He looks large and monstrous. Unfortunately he should be double the height really.

I don't like his back however. To sci-fi for me - he looks like something from Mass Effect when looking at his back.

You'll have to make some great basing work for him not to vanish on that giant 100*150 base. Perhaps have him come out of a volcano.

cornixt:

The head is a little small, but the placing is fine for a hulking brute like that.

Not sure about that jet/vent between his legs!

Could be worse - if it was pointing downwards it'd look like they'd made an anatomically correct cyborg minotaur :o

Willmark:

Those look pretty cool. I did click on the link. Cost ?

Geist:

Ok so its 5inches tall (yank here inches please), but my problem is I need to see it next to a chaos dwarf from forge world so I can kinda get an idea for over all scale and how it will fit in. Second how big around is the base it sits on? Will it go over the sides of a 100x150mm base? Yah I know I didnt know inches then (base sizes are ingrained as mm to me go figure). How much of the base will be empty?
