I mean, aside a collection value, does it have any other value?
It seems that the old rules have been overwritten by the FW ones, right? So noone is able to play with it anymore.
So that one is just some old cool piece of paper? :hat off

Well...yes :).What do you mean? Like there are on it all the different kind of model showed 1 by 1?
Aside from the fact that some use it as a reference for collecting the models like a catalogue.

Legion of Azgorh is the contemporary ruleset which is used at events. Some people may play older editions but the book is still fun to read and look at. I don`t know if all of the models are shown but a lot of them in a “citadel catalogue” style if the book is complete.
30$ is an ok price from my point of view measured by evil bay standards, if you want to complete a collection. But sure models are more important than the old book.
MadHatter:
I paid $25 for mine + shipping but had to give it a bad vote since the banners where cut out from it. It’s a neat little piece and even if the rules are outdated it’s nice to behold the Lammasu at T7, the hobgoblin bolt-thrower and the access to orcs, black orcs and goblins. The artwork is fantastic through-out the book, there’s a great battle-report and the cornerstone of chaos dwarf history… the old press-quality color pictures are yummy aswell. It’s a must have!

Oh yeah, I realised just now that there isnt any gitterlance in the FW rules (dumb)
Wow lammasu t7 sounds way too good to be true.
So yeah, i guess it is really dead as codex to play, but yeah, it seems to have a lot of pages, seems really interesting.
I would love to see the inside before eventually buy it so I can have an idea of what to find.
Must be great, but I still need some models so I guess i should keep myself from buying it now.

Don’t forget that the book features the original background stories.
I guess most collectors of old CD miniatures will have the book as well.
Geist:
As a collectors time its bad ass to have. The art the style of writing, the fluff stories. The very history of the book itself from a simpler time. It’s not just s collectors item its a nostalgic piece.
Other wise play wise sadly it is of no use.
Bitterman:
I got mine for a fiver off eBay. I think that’s about it’s value, give or take a few quid in either direction.
Murmaider:
If anyone is parting with one I would be interested in a reasonably priced copy.

Ben Saunders:
I have one. It’s largely just a reprint of pieces from White Dwarf, hence it was never the same price as an army book even at the time. Rules-wise it’s useless, but I still appreciate mine, given it has the fluff from when CDs were reintroduced.
Old army books usually go pretty cheap. This may be one of the rarer ones, but $30 sounds over-priced to me.
Willmark:
I traded a t-shirt for mine so hell yes!
TheHoodedMan:
I got mine for 15 EUR, but I saw it went in an ebay-auction for 29 GBP.
