Time of Madness:
Looks great! I was hoping the characters on foot would have been released today. Guess we have to wait at least another 2 weeks.

Zanko:
I’m not crazy about the model!
But my opinion might change if I see the first painted ones!

I like it! However, I think the rider’s helm looks kind of ‘stuck on’ to the back of his head.

Admiral:
Really nice. There are lots of new ornamental details for the Chaos Dwarfs on this model alone. It’s welcome.
I like it! However, I think the rider’s helm looks kind of ‘stuck on’ to the back of his head. The issue here is the wide cut-outs in the hat for the Sorcerer-Prophet’s horns. I experienced the same issue with a bigger hat on a horned CD I sculpted, although this model had narrow holes for the horns. With such a back-heavy helmet and that rack on its backside, I suppose that the hat actually is stuck onto the back of Drazhoath’s head.

wallacer:
Nice figure. I’ll grab it once they release the foot figures (and hopefully the Skullcracker).
Grimstonefire:
The credit card cried “Mercy, please”.
Drazhoath laughed bitterly. Mercy? Mercy is for the weak…
deadmeat30:
I’ll be grabbing one to lead my force. To join my 60 IG, 2 commands, limited ed daemon smith, magma cannon, iron daemon, death shriek and dread quake. Lol. My poor bank.
khedyarl:
Grimstone, or anybody else with solid sculpting talent, how much work do you think it would take to turn the Bale into a Lamassu? Think the Raging Heroes head would even fit on it, or would I need to sculpt a new one?
Grimstonefire:
The RH head came in two sizes afaik. The smaller would certainly be too small imo. The larger… I think it would fit.
It would be reasonably simple to do a head conversion with a suitable starting point (like a balrog head, or a minotaur maybe? What would be a good idea would be to magnetise both.
cornixt:
How posable s this model? In some pics it is on the front legs, in others it is on a plastic stand and more upright.
Nicodemus:
Ordered it this morning… man, so lucky my two pay $5K/yr raises conincided with the Chaos Dwarf release this Summer
vulcanologist:
Definitely going to get this model! Think I’ll save up though and get this, the foot characters and the skullcracker in one hit! Might have to be hypnotised not to think of the cost first though!
Grimstonefire:
@Cornixt
I think what they’ve done is use the same bull but level out the front hooves. I don’t think the regular Bale Taurus would sit flat if it were just tilted forwards.
I imagine Cinderbreath would be easy to stick on a flying stand like the other one.
rabotak:
ordered. wonderful model, really looking forward to see all the details up close! but i’m pretty reluctant painting this thing, don’t have any problems with the tiny details or the armour, but the prospect of painting vast organic surfaces/the skin/hide/ whatever gives me the creeps…
ChungEssence:
Amazing model. I’ll have to get one day. Great model for the special character
rabotak:
received mine yesterday - looks fantastic, great detail, but am still afraid of touching it
vulcanologist:
ooh I’m so jealous! nearly ordered it yesterday but managed to restrain myself! Xmas coming too much expense…must hold out!
