Grimstonefire:

This guy has different armour to the bale taurus plus those interesting caged creatures.

Any word on his special items or rules?

Grimstonefire
Those creatures are slave chaos dwarfs that he uses to stop himself turning to stone, apparently he tortures them and its there pain that causes his spell to work

Can you describe his special rule Dark Renown? And his 3 special items
the amulet crucible and scepter?

vulcanologist:

Thanks for the photo. Looks great!

KingFisher
dark renown - +1 for combat resolution within 12"
amulet - 5+ ward save, wound the enemy with a ST2 hit if he fails a save
crucible - +1 to casting , if he kills a wizard it becomes 3+
scepter - never wounds on higher than a 4+

Coopervisor:

Like that figure. Think I’ve found my commander and next purchase

Pyro Stick:

He looks a lot like Zargod with that armoured claw hand and curved hat. Still very cool.

Bassman:

Cool! And the perfect excuse to add cages with slaves to add to my taurus

Hashut’s Blessing:

Regarding the torturable slaves, it sounds a bit like the Dark Eldar - pain/suffering equalling power.

Sounds like he has some cool rules, but it feels like it would be difficult to play him in such a way that brings out the best of both sides. He is a caster and a fighter, but to my knowledge, the spells don’t aid the combat - use him in one way and the other becomes defunct, essentially.

Something I’ve noticed is that the Bale Taurus is kicking out behind it - is it just that it’s been attached via its front hooves instead of a flying stick?

Pretty sure i’ll be buying this guy at the same time I pick up the Tamurkhan book.

cornixt:

The armour isn’t all that different though, only a few minor differences.

Nicodemus:

OK, that’s phenominal!! I mean the taurus is OK and, like the other one, it’s on my “to purchase eventually” list, but the rider is simply amazing. Not to mention the whole rules idea with redirecting his Sorcerer’s Curse onto slaves, brilliant and very fluffy! I haven’t seen the whole stat line yet, but so far this is has made it to my “purchase the day it’s available” list. … which really says something given all the troubles I had with FW and my orders going awry

wallacer:

Yep, it’s a must-buy for me. The Bale Taurus was nice, but this is great.

I’ll pick it up at the same time as the Tamurkhan book.

Vogon:

I too will be getting one as soon as I can. It looks like it’s going to be an expensive few months, oh well I guess I’ll have to offload some more stuff on eBay in order to fund this :frowning:
