Pyro Stick:
I really like the chaos dwarf crewman on the dreadquake but at £75 theres no way ill be buying it. I dont think that paintjob sells it very well either.

Baraz Gorechain:
I like the two crewmen with hats, but the shirtless one doesn’t look too great. Not hot on the ogre exactly either… I do like the machine itself, and definitely like the ammunition. One problem though, specifically with the paint job…
The coppery-blue in the crevices is a good way to weather some metals… But if a proper Dawi Zharr cannon maker was foolish enough to cast this thing out of COPPER, he’d never live long enough to be shamed and put into the infernal guard…
unheilig:
I’ll defintely be grabbing a couple of these… and painting them in proper IRON.
Discoking:
I don’t know why FW have made all the war machines purely “steam based” machinery…
Surely the hole point of being a CHAOS Dwarf is having an engineer that fuses machinery with magic/daemons??
ALL of the war machines suck ass. When compared to the GW Hellcannon, which is daemonic, the model looks pretty good.
I’m not saying that all the war machines should be daemonic… I just think they should look different to what normal dwarves have.
Otherwise, I might as well play normal Dwarves… & get better looking models!
I will never buy the FW CD war machines… I’d rather make my own… for 1/4 of the price.
Discoking:
I just think they missed something that could’ve been unique.
& made people want the models that they had made…
Also I think they missed the point.
gIL^:
i rly like it
But like all FW stuff its to expensive!
mantic zombies are taking up my time!
Blue in VT:
EDIT: The one thing that impresses me is FW glueing and cleaning skill by the way, the one ladder is glued on under an angle, which seems quite impractical to me. The painted flash near the front wheels is also very impressive.Agreed...it looks like it was put together in a hurry...and not well...the front wheels look out of plumb as well...sloppy.

But if a proper Dawi Zharr cannon maker was foolish enough to cast this thing out of COPPER, he'd never live long enough to be shamed and put into the infernal guard...The best cannon from history have always been made out of bronze which also develops a green patina like copper...so whats the problem? Bronze is a lot lighter than iron and less dangerous to the crew.

wallacer:
It’s quite nice. I don’t think the paint job does it justice though.
Ishkur Cinderhat:
Shame someone painted this model who clearly did not want to paint it… the skin was executed OK but the rest was painted without any love.
Da Crusha:
I dont care much for any of the steam train models, the stats is what interest me. the quake ability really blows compared to the RH earthshaker one. I like the new higher strength and D6 wounds though. for 195 pts I think its over priced.
and what the hell! -1 to all the black powder misfire results. that means it blows up on a 1,2, and 3!!! this thing completely sucks. Im just glad these are experimental rules…
Abecedar:
pretty much, a that will do production line type paint job. not good enough in a “This is It” come and buy it. and really ,find or make a flat bed and stick a spare hellcannon or earth shaker on it would be so much more affordable.
Bassman:
Waht disappoint me is that there are professional painters that have been paid for this!
I would heave painted it with much more love
Said this I pretty like it. I love steam punk and my Chaos Dwarfs are already steam punk so no problem with this theme.
About the rules. Actually it is much better than earthshaker as it prevent from charging. The only problem is that do not sop people from shooting! That was amazing with the old shaker
cornixt:
I like it as a model, big and chunky. I don’t mind the ogre, while not fantastic it isn’t too bad, and I disagree that he is anything like the old-old ogres. The paintjobs on all the FW models are rather poor and make the models look bad. I’m sure that someone on here will have it painted up soon and it will look awesome.
8-Bit Ace:
I like the model but with the points increase over the previous rules and it losing its ability to stop enemies from marching or charging really hurts. With it being so expensive (literally) I am now thinking about maybe taking a couple of Rocket Launchers instead.
That said I really dig the rail gun look and all the cool machinery on the car.
Luhn/Alandanir:
I ordered one from FW yesterday, I’ll post some pics when I receive it.
About the crew , I like the fact that they are different from other war machines and the ogre looks great for a slave (sad look , not too fat) IMHO.
Sanguinarian:
Love the Iron Daemon, not overly keen on this. Personally would have preferred to see an entrenched siege weapon than an armoured train. The ogre I can’t make my mind up on, if he looked more like the current plastic ogres I might have been sold on him, he looks defeated and broken, but not really like a modern GW ogre.
nilbog:
I was really looking forward to this, I’ve bought the forgeworld CD infantry but no warmachines…but it’s a bit too expensive at £75 (plus postage!). I’ll probably just get an ogre bull off ebay and add it to my earthshaker crew and save £70.
rabotak:
I’m definitely going to be buying this thing, really love the looks of it
(and i really want a complete train!), but the ogre makes me think about replacing it somehow… the limbs are just a tiny bit to bulky for my taste… gotta contemplate on this issue…
Borador:
Cut off the arms and stick them to a regular ogre?
rabotak:
no, rather cut of the arms and attach arms of a regular ogre… and the legs while i’m at it… seriously, i guess i’ll have to paint this thing and then decide if i’ll just replace it with a regular ogre… maybe even wait till octogre before making up my mind
