You will send an unpainted figure to the person that i will draw for you then i will draw another person that will send an unpainted to you and you will send it back Painted

ahh I also didnt get it, I thought you send someone a painted model and got another model back from someone else. But you get your own model back all painted.
yeah… not quite what I was thinking, either. Sounds like a lot of unnecessary postage; I rather liked the idea of picking a model that I have, painting it, and sending it to someone. One of the cool things about getting something from Tjub, for instance, is his unique style, which is more than just the painting.
Wouldn’t it be way more fun to paint a model for another forum member instead of just sending him a mini? I mean if there’s a mini I want I could get it from Ebay…

I am in even if I would prefer that method, too. One time postage would be much less confusing and the time scale with postage from Australia to Europe to the Americas is sometimes way long.
Here is how it is done for some years in the ChestofColor-forum:
(quote) "There are many different ways to organise mini exchanges. We have decided to base ours on a format seen on the Reaper forum. Every participant receives a name and address of another participant (chosen randomly) and paints a mini for that person. That means that no one (apart from one of the organisers who is selecting 'pairs') knows who is painting for who. Yes, we do like the element of surprise and receiving gifts!"

I would love seeing a figure i have chosen and put love and care into either converting or just a stunning paint job sitting in there army or just on a shelve. Also the surprise of waiting for a package to come not knowing whats in it would be a added bonus.
What I like about this system is that you can get to know your Victim…errr receiver and their army and try to paint something that fits in with their style…its good kind of forces you out of your comfort zone…like if I drew G2s name you could actually see me paint a big hat! :o
@ blue : I would love to see you paint a Big Hat. If you did, I would be willing to paint one of those really “old school” minis you like so much, you know … the ones with “little” hats.
Love it. Gonna start of mine straight away i think, Have a lovely mini which doesn’t fit my theme for my own army but will look amazing in someone elses.
