I’m going to be placing my first order with FW soon and plan on spending £250 to get free shipping to the US.
All I have for my force atm are 10 HWS IG and two Reaper female dwarf minis to use as characters.

40 HWS IG
2 Command for IG
3 BC
1 MC
I plan on converting my K’daai fire born and Destroyer
I mainly play 2400-2500 point tournament matches and don’t want to buy expensive units that are just going to collect dust. Should I drop the IG down to 30 and get an extra MC and what about fireglaives?
I used a 30 man unit of blunderbuss,20 warriors, destroyer and hell cannon with a level 4 sorc, bsb amd a khan on a wolf at a 2200 tourney.
Blunderbuss were deadly but attracted a lot of attention but the stand out was the destroyer who was on fire lol.
My only concern was how low they rated me on comp. I think it was the destroyer hell cannon combo so I think your list looks very reasonable and I would stick with the 40 IG. The 3 BC is a great idea which I will be trying to.
I generally always take a unit of 28 Infernal guard with full command (hand weapon/shields). I then usually add 2 characters to the unit to make it 30 strong.
You can then add a small unit of 10 - 12 fireglaives to get yourself to the min core.
Some people like taking 2 units of hand weapon/shield guard. 2 units of 25.
You should finalize your list first before ordering in my opinion. Or at least have a good idea of what your list will look like.
You can’t go wrong buying a magma cannon or some shriekers. I find them to be always useful.
I usually play in 2000-2200 point tournaments, as well as local play at our club. Just a few thoughts for your order…
I would have fewer IG, probably 30 or less. Unless your lists are larger, you probably will only need them to fill core. Death shriekers have not really proven anything to me, other than they are another WM. Magma cannons are well worth the points, and I run two of them. My new favorite is the Iron Demon; if you haven’t considered getting one, you may want to take another look. Most armies you will face do not have an answer for it, along with putting hellbound on it. As a matter of fact, I may drop the Kdaii Destroyer and put in a skull cracker. The models of the BC are fantastic, but their price is very high for their value on the table. With the new FAQ’s for overrun, hobgoblins may be a better point option than BC’s. But the models are sweet though!
I’m considering changing it from 40IG HWS to 20 HWS 20 Fireglaives. Are the fireglaives worth it or are they going to be sitting on the shelf collecting dust. For £36 I can’t afford to have them just be eye candy.
