Perturabo:
Ok, this is my first list, so don’t expect it to be great. This is supposed to be a general list to find out how the army works. I’ve not played Fantasy before, so I will need help with this.

Enchanted Shield
The great weapon's pretty useless with the enchanted shield. I say drop the gauntlets and shield for the Armour of Gazrakh.

With only one wizard, that second level might not make much of a difference. You could consider dropping that spell level.

Good.

No less than 12 BB's, 15-18 is ideal. Get more.

A bit small but it can work.
10 Hobbo Wolf Riders 140
Bows
No! No! Bad!
Never take bows on hobbo wolfboyz. Light armour and shield is the way to go.

Drop this and get some warmachines. You'll want an earthshaker, and hobbo bolt throwers are also nice.
cornixt:
Agree with the beaver except the last two.
Bows are great on wolfriders - they might not hit anything but it distracts your opponents no end, especially if you get lucky enough to kill the odd model. Poor players will even disrupt their plans and try to charge them or silly things like that. Works a treat.
You don’t want anything extra on your Orcs boys if you keep them. A couple of BTs would be better, I wouldn’t recommend a death rocket or earthshaker in such a small game. Use any points saved to bump up the rest of your units and maybe get some hobgoblins for use as a meat shield.
Uzkul Werit:
I’d drop the Gauntlets. They’re handy but with such small units, you’ll end up winning the fights for the other side. And I’d keep the Lv2 on the Mage but drop the two scrolls. You won’t be going against that aggressive magic in 1000pts.
Perturabo:
Is this any better? Should I drop the extra choppa’s on the Orcs?

A 4+ armour save is much more useful than BS3 bows on a unit that's going to always be on the move. It's cheaper too.
Anyway, if you drop the warbanner and "reduce" the bows to light armour and shields on your wolfboyz, you can afford a second bolt thrower, which is very useful.
Uzkul Werit:
Don’t ever drop an extra choppa on Orcs. Those things are deadly. Infact, Savage Orc Big 'uns with the two Choppa combo are more painful than Black Orcs.
Khaosbeardling:
Take two HG Bolt Throwers if you can. They rock, I’m serious. My Wood Elf friend is deadly afraid of them, and my Dwarfy friend has learned to be careful how he positions his units.
hobblin:
Perturabo you might find if you suck at rolling 4 to hit don’t take bolt throwers.
Perturabo:
I’ve made the changes to the second list. It now has 15 GW Warriors and two bolt throwers.
