Seems to me that flames being a strong part of the army theme there should be a flame cannon?
Would you base this on the Dwarf one, or start something new?

It would have to have a suitably Daemonic flavour to work, I think. Just a Dwarf flame cannon would be a bit cheap.

Are you talking about the 4th Edition army list? Because back then, most armies were about as basic as that one.

I think a totally new one, with a rule for daemonic fire that when it hits a unit it works like the conflag spell to show that its magic fire rather than normal fire like in the dwarf flame cannon
