looks pretty cool, shame the destroyer was removed tho

Sjoerdo:

but you can substitute the destroyer from another war scroll right? At least that is what I get from the last page.

fued:

yeah it just plays like the warriors of chaos great taurus

Parish:

And no Lammasu rider :frowning:

Helblindi:

One for the FAQ: if bull centaurs wield double handweapons, is the number of attacks doubled or not? It seems logical, but the rules never state this.

Malorndk:

They really made a nice an and inspiring Warscroll, that makes me want to invest in their models. /s

Helblindi
No, this does not double.
An additional weapon of the same kind gives rerolls for to-hit in some way as stated in the written rules under the profile. This is the same for some other troop types in other factions.

Thommy H:

Interesting that shield and hand weapon Infernal Guard have become Ironsworn. Good way to keep the name even though there aren’t specific models for their original incarnation.

Obviously they’ve followed the convention of the existing warscroll compendiums by only including rules for the models they sell, but it’s a shame that means no backwards compatibility with the 4th/5th Edition range.

Still, I’m sure there’s something people can find around here for that…

Vogon:

From a first glance they look pretty fun.

I see a few trial games in the near future

Cheers

Vogon

Vogon:

Hmm

Just noticed that all the hobgoblin units have been removed too.

That’s a shame.

Morgrim Blackbeard:

No sorcerer prophets :frowning:

Still standing:

They are nice, but I am confused by certain things. Why Blackshard Armour and Magma Cannons are worse than their western Dwarvern equals. I understand why they didn’t write rules for models they don’t sell, but it still irks. Thommy H to the rescue, again?

Dînadan:

Anyone else notice that the warmachines and their crew have a combined profile instead of separate ones like every other one? I’m guessing that’s because the FW minis have them both mounted on the steam carriage, but it looks odd compared to other armies.

Still standing:

That’s one of the things I really like, that and their 3+ saves against shooting. I guess that goes some way to explain why they are weaker offensively than their Dwarvern counterparts.

Vogon
the hobgoblin units can officially be played with goblin warscrolls, see substitute list at the end.
That`s not the best option, but at least they can be played.

Dînadan
This is how the Skaven war machines are implemented, basically because they have integral crew, so it does make sense. Again though, not great for anyone using classic models instead.

Heavygear:

Skullcrackers get bonus vs. Enemy warmachines. My new wm hunter.

You can summon/deep strike kdaii fireborn all day long with enough deamonsmiths. It maybe time to invest in cheap reaper mini or puppetswar substitutes.

It seems like the best units got the nerf bat. The destroyer and magma cannons are shadows of their former selves. Mismatched plates of giant armor is better than blackshard vs. shooting?

Infernal guard don’t seem like much of a match vs. the likes of sigmarines.

Heavygear:

I just noticed all kdaii fly now.

Thommy H:

Weird…that’s either a copy and paste error, or since they say to use the Great Taurus as the Destroyer maybe it’s to bring them in line with that?

Still standing:

Makes sense to me that fire Daemons who don’t touch the floor anyway count as flying.
