I’ve been lurking in this forum for a looong time, and I just decided that it was the right time to open my own Army Blog. Why now ? Basically, because I’ve got a tournament in more or less a month and a half, and I decided to play CD. It’s a team tournament, so, as my ally is playing night gobbos, I guess that playing CD was totally normal :D.
It’s a 1300 points RH list, and I don’t have too much minis, so I tried to made a list with the ones I allready had… and I don’t think it will be competitive, but who cares ?
I’ll try to convert/mount/paint :
Astragoth (as Sorcerer)
a Random Champion (as BS)
a Hobgob Hero on Wolf
20 HW Dwarfs (with Unit filler)
15 Blunderbuss
2x10 Hobgobs Archers
5 Wolf Riders
A Chukka
A Earthshaker
Well, enough talk, let’s start with the pictures.
First, my firsts CD. I’m not really good with Greenstuff, as you can see, so I decided to start customing some Old Bugman’s Rangers. I only have 12 of these, so I’ll probably have to create some Unit Filler (but I’ve got several Ideas, so it doesn’t bother :p).
(WIP except for two of them).
Two awfull greens :
Let’s look to the 10 first archers :
They’ll be a mix between Greenstuffed and Metal Hobgob
And the Chukka :(sorry for the bad quality, I just took the picture a minute ago and the battery is down -_-).
Coming Next, maybe the unit filler, and some pictures of the other bad/small/bearded guyz !
I like your Spear Chukka and this gives me yet another opportunity to say how disappointed I am that the new book does not have any gobbo spear chukkas!
Creating CDs from existing models is not that difficult, even with mediocre or bad gs-skills - i myself am not a good painter or builder, but sometimes even small changes to a miniature or the way how it is painted can make a big difference!
Considering this i especially like your “chaosified” Bugmans Rangers - they look sinister!
Good job on your army. Really nice look on the hobgoblins bowmen. I like them much, and it seems to be pretty easy to do them (but is it easy really???) Bugmans guys are nice too.
5 Wolf Riders
No way here : you must take them by ten strong guys… Désolé:) Unless the organizator allows you to play them by 5 only…
Thanks Bolg :). The bases are not finished ! I always do it at the very last (sometimes just a day before the tournament :D). I’ll post new pics soon (tonite probably) :).

The Hobgoblins bowmen aren’t really difficult to sculpt. Off course, I used a lot Xander’s tutorials, trying to make conveniant conversions.
I didn’t notice the 10 minimum for the wolfmen ! I’ve got to change the list then :(. I’ll put another Hobgoblin Hero on wolf, and leave a chukka out of the list ! Merci pour l’info, Zhatan :D.
I don’t want to bother you about that :p. I was trying to register at work, and doing some tests, and FINALLY it did work :p.
If you could change it to Xso, it would be awesome :D.
A closer view of the earthshaker’s base, and some wip :
The flesh, red and metal parts are finished, the rest is wip. I’l try to do the blunderblusses in brown, using the magic devlan mud :p. Same for their boots. For the flames on the guns, and the brown parts of the hats, il try to do it in bleached bone (using a base of vermin brown i guess).
