[Archive] Fuggit Khans army up for sale

Fuggit Khan:

After much thought and painful consideration, I’ve decided to sell my 25 year old army.
As some of you know, me and the Mrs recently bought a home in Thailand, and we both plan to move there next month. And while Thailand has just about everything under the sun to offer, table top miniatures war-gaming is non existent there.
They have plenty of model shops and RC cars (both very popular)…but zero war-gaming.
So I had to decide…let my beloved army sit on a shelf, never to be used again?
Or let another person love it as much as I do, and actually play it in games for another 25 years?

I think it deserves to be played :hashut

So check out the pics, check out my army blog. Everything is up for sale.
Includes:
1 big hat tower (the gray wall behind it is not included, Babs the cat has already claimed it as a sleeping bed)
3 kdaii golems
1 earthshaker
1 death rocket w/3 crew
1 slave orc
1 iron daemon
6 hobgoblin wolf riders w/standard bearer and "Giblet!"
2 musicians
1 regular standard
1 bsb
20 hobgoblins w/2 musicians + 4 standards
4 cd heroes
1 sorceror prophet
4 various crew
1 death rocket bazooka
1 destroyer with base
1 battlebarge rocket w/goblin slaves base
22 blunders
3 custom axe men (bc conversions)
1 custom hellcannon w/ammo shell
1 custom magma cannon w/lava pumping station

I would like to sell it as one entire lot.
If there is no interest to buy it as a single army, I may consider later to part it out per model.
But for now, please don’t ask for just parts of it…only being sold as an entire army for now. Thanks.
If you’re interested please pm me. Don’t be shy, just pm me with what you feel you’d like to pay. I’ll accept the best offer.
A Citadel figure case is included, as well as an original CD 4th edition army book.
Everything is in mint condition.
Please:
1) International must pay by paypal, if you’re a Johnny Reb or Billy Yank from the USA, then either paypal or bank cashiers check.
2) You pay for shipping…keep in mind that an all metal army weighs a bit
3) Please have the money on hand, no "Can I pay you in a month?"
4) I’ll answer all pm’s, please be patient if I have not responded right away…I promise to answer all pm’s.
5) If you offer $5, I will tell you to go pineapple yourself
6) Fuggit Khan himself is NOT FOR SALE.
7) The emissaries that people sent to me are also not for sale…they’ll be accompanying Fuggit to Thailand.

I fully understand that all of you already have an army…but if you’d like to expand your forces, have a second army or just love the Fuggit, then please just offer me what you can afford.
I’m not looking for a fortune, I’m only looking for the army to get a good home :hat off

I truly think this fully converted army is one of a kind, hopefully one of you will appreciate and love it as much as I have :cheers

Thanks :hashut

Dînadan:

Sad to hear you’re selling up - I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say your work is a great inspiration to us all.  Hope they can find a home (or homes) with someone (or somepeople) here on CDO - it’d be a travesty to see this go to eBay and appropriated by resellers :frowning:

Good luck with selling it mate :hat off

Helblindi:

Indeed, always very sad. I can’t afford or justify to buy this army though, but it sure as hell is an inspiration.

Take the army with you. With some luck, all of Thailand gets inspired and jumps right into warhammer

Helblindi
Either that or buy a cheap greenskin army to take with you and then hold the new neighbours hostage until they play you ;P

Skink:

Take the army with you.

Helblindi
Indeed. If you can display Yamato battleships then you can dedicate a shelf to an awesome Chaos Dwarf army :P

Jackswift:

Sorry to hear you are downsizing this. I am in downsizing mode myself, but despite that this is very tempting. Such a great army with so many lovely and well executed conversions.

Like so many others, I vote that you keep it. Pick up another fully painted army, so that you can indoctrinate others into the wonder that is wargaming without the need for them to own an army at all. I’d offer you one, but all my fully painted armies are 40k which doesn’t help.

Carcearion:

Fuggit nooooo :frowning:

This is very sad, like everyone has said your army is most certainly a inspiration here on the forum. I think you should at least keep a little bit more, I mean how on earth can you sell the giant doom missile??? Its such a gem, and clearly more of a display piece then anything.

Eyeballing things I looks like you are, but I hope you are keeping a few troops of Hobgoblins, Wolf-Riders, and Dawi-Zharr left for yourself, who knows you might find yourself doing a little skirmish gaming if not full on Wargamming again and you’ll be glad to have them.

Darkmeer:

This army and Tjub really got me into collecting Chaos Dwarfs. I would really love to be able to purchase this army, but hobby funds are virtually nonexistent at the moment. I really hope this finds a wonderful home, Fuggit. This is a great army and I echo the others sentiments of hating to see it stuck on ebay with resellers.

Malorndk:

I’m in the race! PMed!!!

Other people should send good offers as well. This madman is selling some astounding and magnificent work, so count your pennies and let him cash out mightily on all his hard work.

Enjoysrandom:

oh man this sucks… not cool at all man… one of the best armies ever on CDO,

I would love some of your army but man are you sure…

I agree with Darkmeer and Carcearion… I hated conversions until I saw Tjub and Fuggits work, great stuff… Anything I convert has been from ideas from fuggits amazing work… I hope you reconsider and keep onto it mate.

tjub:

Sad to hear, but I 100% understand you… It was a great run! :hat off

TheHoodedMan:

Oh lord, why do you tempt me so hard :cheers.

I have to think about it. Do you have a deadline?

edit: PM

Fuggit Khan:

First, let me take this opportunity to thank all of you for your kind words, and all the nice pm’s that people sent me offering words of appreciation and thanks.

I have always thought of army blogs as a means to share idea’s within our community. Your feedback, support and constructive suggestions really helped me to make my army. And it makes me quite happy to hear from sooooo many of you that you love my army as much as I do <3

Thanks guys.

And who knows? I will be taking some boxes of un-built Abyssal Dwarfs and green stuff to Thailand with me.

So:

it’d be a travesty to see this go to eBay and appropriated by resellers :frowning:

Dînadan
I do NOT want it to go to Ebay resellers :frowning:

Skink
Well, the difference is that my first ever tabletop wargame I played, Star Fleet Wars (which I still play nearly 40 years after the fact) can be played solitaire. So the Yamato models will get displayed and played in Thailand

Hmmm…I think that yes, I will probably keep the CD battlebarge nuclear warhead.
This army and Tjub really got me into collecting Chaos Dwarfs.

Darkmeer

Enjoysrandom
Wow, thank you both…it’s quite an honor to be mentioned alongside tjub’s amazing army :hat off

I have to think about it. Do you have a deadline?

edit: PM

TheHoodedMan
I had not even considered a deadline. How about a week? …gives time to send pm’s back and forth, taking into account different time zones, etc.

So my thanks to all of you who pm’ed me :cheers

Still no decision yet…we’ll see how this plays out, and waiting for responses.

And I forget to mention that the one super cool Hobgoblin that Bloodbeard was nice enough to send to me is also NOT for sale.

Thank you everybody, you guys are great :hat off

:hashut

Admiral:

I hope this marvel of an army finds a good home. It deserves the best. Great job making it through endless ingenious conversions and scratchbuilds, Fuggit! One of the best Chaos Dwarf forces around, and inspirational to everyone. The online pictures of it and the step by step tutorials will remain a strong source of inspiration to creative people for many years to come, even if the army itself changes owners. One of the very best log runs ever on CDO, and yet it didn’t even reach a completed force.

I can’t afford it since my cash is funnelled into moulds.

Best of luck, and enjoy Thailand. :hat off

Also, by prophetic powers I predict that the Chaos Dwarf itch will set in again for you in the future. Just you wait and see. Shackled Daemons are already whispering of the return of the long-lost Khan of Khans… Anyhow looking forward to the Abyssal Dwarf conversions!

Nicodemus:

Nooooooo!!! So sad to see you parting with your army. I recall most of these pieces when they showed up in the forum or in contests, and I’ve taken a lot of inspiration from them. I too hope they find a good home, sadly the price is out of my reach these days.

All the best with your future endeavours!

Admiral
It has indeed found a very good home. Cold, dark, dreary skies and at the end of the world where even the most despotic of gods have forsaken ;)
But my babies will be happy and in good hands :hat off

Admiral
Yes, the whispers from the Abyss are getting louder...

Thank you Nico, your work was always an ongoing source of inspiration to me :hat off

Carcearion:

Congratulations on the sale Fuggit! and extra-extra congratulations to whoever acquired it!!! That army belongs in a war gaming museum as much as it belongs on a battle field

I’m very happy they went to one of us, I’ll be totally honest I was kind of hoping the lot might be broken up so that I might have a chance to acquire a few pieces, I’ve been drooling over those Golems! but my own Golem envy aside I’m glad the whole army found a good home! :hat off

Bassman:

Despite begin sad news I can understand you. I wish they’ll find a good new home and continue to spread blood and pain in Hashut’s name. Say hello from me to the coolest miniatures ever released by GW: 5t edition Hobgoblins (but Fuggit Khan, I knew he was coming with you!) :cheers :idea :hat off

Enjoysrandom:

Truly the greatest army ever sold!

Carcearion
Ha! Yes, the Golems I made are really pretty f#@*ing cool (if I do say so myself). They were honestly the models I held in my hand, while packing, and thought "I'm gonna miss these guys".

Bassman
Fuggit is looking forward to enjoying the Thailand tropical beaches...and being metal he will laugh at the sun/heat (unlike the resin of the weaker lesser races).
Truly the greatest army ever sold!

Enjoysrandom
Thank you (but I still think tjub's army is #1) :hat off
