Verdigis is no rust, it's just some kind of weathering. I think a mix of both styles would be looking great so I am with you anyways rabotak :cheers

**spikedog** :

Again I want to thank everyone for their comments, regardless of which one you prefer I am happy you took the time to leave me a comment.

So I decided I didn’t like the silver as it was, it was too bright and the drybrush left some nasty blotching effects which showed up even stronger on the pictures than IRL, so I went back and gave it a think wash of black followed by some selective washes of Delvan Mud and I think it makes it much nicer.

IRL it is pretty smooth and has a dull, hammered metal look to it. Not sure it really comes across in the pictures but hopefully you can see the difference between this picture and the last:

As much as I like the copper look I think maybe it would be better reserved for either characters or the warmachines, it may look too mundane if I do a whole army like that. I am still not 100% sure though which is driving me nuts as I have a whole unit of these awesome guys to paint and I can’t really start until I nail down the scheme. :mad

**Grimstonefire** :

I really like this one.

Why don’t you use the scheme above but mix in a few bits of copper here and there on other models for variety? Best of both worlds.

you're absolutely right of course, i just wanted to use a cheap, vulgar term for corroding to get my point across! :)

**G.2** :

This is now looking really nice. I don’t think you need to add anything to the figure. Just touch up the base and the whole thing will look great. I think a whole unit of these guys will look fantastic.

**Pyro Stick** :

Why arent you painting the beards and fireglives as well? Having the whole model painted might change the whole appearance of the model and help you decide on a final colour scheme.
