I shamelessly copied Clam’s thread title from when he started this discussion when Golden Hat XI was around the corner! :hat off

Seeing GH XIII is getting close by it’s fun to see what other members would like to see this time. At first, I personally thought about the WFB rulebook mentioned Lava Golems (they were called that right?!) or something mounted as Clam suggested somewhere but then I looked through the previous Golden Hats and I found out that one very basic subject wasn’t done yet!

‘‘What is it then?!’’ I here ya think! Well it’s simple, a Chaos Dwarf Lord! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

So obviously I’d like to see that as the next theme but I am interested what others are hoping for!:cheers

Chaos dwarf Lord sounds good. the only problem I have with it is that I already have 2 CD lords already finished and painted and pic posted on cdo. I would like a Golden hat for a BC lord, then I’d have a reason to paint mine;). or even another wizard GH as that one had a big turn out and I have 3 wizards Ive been meaning to paint.

You can find the winning entries on the main site and in Word of Hashut, or just look through the Website News section to take a look at the older entries.

A Chaos Dwarf Lord has been done (sort of) way back in GHII when we featured Rythark the Unbreakable. As always we're having a long think about this as a staff and are keen to hear and consider any suggestions.

well i’d perspnaly skipped characters since most pplhave more than enough, but maby some standard bearer, not necessarily \bsb but any cd

a Hobgoblin hero! Or atleast I hope for a single model, since I seem to loose track and get distracted far easy these days. But I should be able to keep focus to finish one model… :stuck_out_tongue:

Edit: or Id love to do a special character of some kind.

Hobgoblin Hero sounds good. I need to work on a new one for a new list I’m trying out.

or how about something not available to the RH list. like cd’s with add’l hand weapons or spears. it can be a tribute to the indy GT list.

Maybe the theme could be a specific magical weapon… that way it is up to the modeler/player to figure out which character/hero uses it.

With 8th ed out - we should probably encourage people to do hordes of core troopers.

Personally, I would like like to see some kind of mounted hero/lord (Tyrant, Sorcerer, Hobgoblin) - and let it be open to proxies/count as - not everybody fancies greenskins - let it be open to other allied races.

But we have a thread somewhere about ‘Golems’ - and Golems could be rather interesting as well.

Oh, what about turning a Mantic Dwarf into a Chaos Dwarf - like the first GH was about turning a BfSP into one

But then again as long as it’s a single piece model and not extremly restricted, I think Im up to it.

I think that another core troops GH would be good. Not only is it something that people can do many times, it can also end up being something new each time it’s done.

Something like “do 5 Hobgoblins” or “make 5 Chaos Dwarf warriors” or “Make 5 Immortals”.

What about a fill the wiki GH? You could do either Astrogoth, HG Wolfriders or Oglah Kahn! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Wolfriders would be cool.

I would love to see Chaos Dwarf lord. I always wanted to sculpt a new one and never found motivation. Now there also the AoW lord and Baggronor’s amazing lord to be painted… :slight_smile:

A lava golem would be cool…

not rankin’ file troops please… I’m painting way tooo many of them recently… :stuck_out_tongue:

I doubt we’ll do another open category one just yet. We did that for 10 as a sort of “explosvie celebration” of the double figure mark to make it something a bit more unique/special.

It would seem logical to do something supported by the mentions in the 8th Edition book. Which means lava golems or “winged bulls branded with the mark of the Father of Darkness” or whatever it says.

I would like to see something Hobgoblin themed as well, maybe sneaky gits since thats the only hobgoblin models that i have unpainted, or maybe some archers. I wouldnt mind chaos dwarf lord either.

btw the home page only lists up to GH 9.

I kindly disagree that A Lord has been done. As you say it was about Rykarth, a Chaos Dwarf created for a campaign and so more a special character than a 'normal' Lord. :)
or Id love to do a special character of some kind.

That might be cool too but would only existing special characters be allowed or also peoples own creations? I find own creations more a thing for the Artisans. (?) Just which 'official' special characters are out there btw? :s

I ment paint/convert/build a specific special character for each GH. I prefer to do one character rather than five troops…
